Chapter 11 - Shots

"Eris is Eris." That was what Cole told me.

Best explanation na 'yun sa mga ginagawa niya and I took that explanation dahil kung ako ang nasa lagay ni Cole 'yun rin ang sasabihin ko because I don't know how to describe him. It seems that there's no word to describe him best.

He's Eris and he's weird, arrogant and well okay he's nice. Sometimes. Basta he's just Eris!

"I'm a good judge of a person so trust me when I say I like Eris."

"But not this time, Ate." Sabi ko.

She sighed. "Wag ka lang makipagaway. Baka pagbalik namin sa Monday umalis na isa sa inyo."

"See you on Monday." Mika beamed.

She's so giddy because long weekend means going home for them.

Ako naman madalas naiiwan dahil hindi naman ako masyado umuuwi since para masulit ko rin ang binabayad ko dito sa dorm sabi sa akin ni Tita.

And it's not I have parents waiting for me at home. Kapatid ko lang at Tita ko ang uuwian ko kung sakali.

Unfortunately Eris decided to stay too. Si Cole may weekend getaway kaya kami lang ni Eris ang maiiwan na magbabantay.

I asked Cole why is Eris not coming with him but he just shrugged and said Eris didn't want to and he have no idea why.

Since I'm all alone and this room has really thick walls I did what I always do when I'm alone. Nanood ako ng movies with really loud speaker and after nagpatugtog ako ng mga paborito kong kanta.

Napatingin ako sa pinto kung saan ang unit nila Eris. Ano naman kayang ginagawa niya? And why is he here? Isn't he suppose to go home or go out? He doesn't look like the type to stay home during Friday night.

Late na ako natulog kaya tinanghali na ako ng gising. I cooked myself a simple meal and cleaned the room.

I was just beginning to rest when a knock came. I debated whether to ignore the knock because Eris is the only one who will knock at my door.

Hindi niya tinigilan ang pagkatok kaya napilitan akong buksan ang pinto. "Dinner tayo."

Tumaas ang kilay ko. "Baka pagbayarin mo nanaman ako?"

Tumawa siya at hinarang ang isang kamay sa pinto. Napatingin ako sa kamay niya at lihim na napangiti. I gave him credit for being smart. Alam niyang pag may mali siyang sinabi ay sasaraduhan ko siya ng pinto kaya hinarang niya ang kamay doon.

"I'll be a gentleman this time. Libre ko na." He smirked.

Despite his smirk, the offer is quite tempting so I accepted.

We have a nice dinner. When I say nice I mean kasi hindi niya ako inaasar. He can be nice if he want to but most of the time he didn't want to so that's the problem.

We just talk. Turns out he's capable of talking without being a jerk. Pinagusapan namin ang few subjects na magklaklase kami, we even talked about our roommates.

Medyo nanghinayang ako dahil mag isa nanaman ako at hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko buong gabi and that I really enjoyed our dinner.

Nakapajama na ako bago may kumatok ulit. I almost ran just to get to the door then cleared my throat before opening it.

He's in the hallway holding his door open and jerked his chin to his room.

"Bakit?" I asked.

"I just think maybe you don't want to spend weekend alone." He said then looked at my room. "Unless may kasama ka?"
