“Nice one girls” Camila laughed.
I laid on the bathroom floor quivering in fear and watched as Camila and the girls high fived each other and walked out chuckling.
My tears slid down my cheeks as I struggled to get up. I wiped the blood off my swollen lip and walked out of the bathroom like nothing happened.
As I was walking down to the canteen and trying to get through the crowded hallway, I felt a strong hold on my shoulder turn me around.
“Please don't hurt me!” I whispered shielding my face, before another blow connected with my cheeks.
“Why would I hurt you?” Clyde asked staring at me with a look of concern on his face.
He pulled me aside from the middle of the hallway and lifted my face to look up at him.
“What happened?”
“Nothing!” I answered pulling his hand away from my face and started walking off.
He stopped me.
“Brooklyn! Talk to me” he urged.
“Just back off and leave me alone! Don't you have other things to do?” I snapped walking off, holding in my tears and left him wondering what he did wrong.
I didn't want to talk about it, I just wanted him to leave me alone, was that too hard to understand?
