I flopped down on my bed and cried into my pillow. I could hear my parents yelling at Clyde.
A few minutes of silence passed by, I waited to see if anything else would happen. Not a single sound could be heard.
I laid on my back and stared at the ceiling thinking everything through. I missed my old friends. I missed my old school. I missed the person I was before we moved here.
Happy.
I always thought things would turn out great when we settled down here. It turns out I was wrong, very wrong. I always wondered if I did something terrible to deserve this, and maybe it was Karma's way of punishing me.
Clyde walked into my room and sat on my bed. I pulled the covers over my head hinting that I was in no mood for a conversation, mostly because I was afraid I'd start crying again.
Gently pulling the covers off my head, I sat up to face him.
“I'm sorry.” he said slowly, turning to face me. “I had no idea that would hurt you, guess I need a filter in my mouth now don't I?”
We both laughed, I couldn't remember the last time I laughed this hard. It felt nice.
He ruffled my hair before leaving my room. “goodnight kiddo.”
“Don't call me that, I'm 16 not a little child Clyde” I shouted back throwing my pillow at him as he left my room.
“Whatever you're still a kid to me.” he yelled back.
As I drifted back to sleep my phone chimed
1 new message- Camila
I unlocked my phone and my heart sank as I read the message.
Can't wait to see you at school tomorrow bitch, this school year will be an unforgettable one for you!
