I remember being whole.
Vaguely.
I remember her,
Tiny hands, round face, short white teeth.
Big eyes, full of hope
Nights filled with childish dreams.
Thick black hair with kinks and curls.
Bruises on her knees cause she played too much.
I remember her.
I saw her today in a picture.
She was smiling, bright face sparkling eyes.
She was smiling.
Smiling.
She doesn't smile like that anymore.
I remember her.
But I'm not her anymore.

I miss the younger version of myself. I'm pretty sure puberty ruined my life.
Anything under 8 years is good times.
