Chapter Two: Bothered

Agad kaming nakarating sa classroom ko so I looked at my kuya Caleb.

"This is your room right?" tanong ni kuya sa akin.

Instead of answering him, natawa na lang ako.

"What?" he asked. "Why are you laughing?"

"Wala lang.." tapos natawa na naman ako.

"Aldeim..." he said as he narrowed his eyes at me.

"Okay, okay. I'll stop. Naalala ko lang kasi yung time na una mo akong hinatid sa room ko. That was a total fail."

He glared at me then but I could see his face blushing. "Please don't remind me that. I already got over that humiliation."

Napailing na lang ako dahil dun sa sinabi niya. Ganito kasi yung nangyari. I was a first year high school back then and I was still getting used to the school where kuya was currently studying in. I'm not really good with directions kaya parati akong nawawala kapag papunta na ako sa classroom ko. It was then that kuya presented para ihatid ako sa classroom ko. Isang araw hinatid niya ako sa classroom and the teacher was already there. She noticed us standing by the doorway and since hindi required ng school ang uniform, nasabi niya yun kay kuya. Alam niyo ba kung anong sinabi nung teacher ko kay kuya? She assumed that he was my boyfriend and even told him na sobrang bata pa raw namin. Even though we already clarified to the teacher that we're siblings, Kuya Caleb was really embarassed that time and I also laughed so hard.

Sabi niya naka-recover na raw siya sa 'trauma' na yon but up until now, I don't think so. It still has an effect on him kapag nababanggit ko iyon pero hinahatid pa rin naman niya ako sa room ko.

"Get inside already. Darating na yung teacher niyo mamaya," he told me.

"I will, kuya. Alam mo, hindi mo na ako kailangang ihatid sa room ko. I already know the way baka mamaya mapagkamalan ka na namang boyfriend ko." I smiled at him as I said that. "But thank you, anyway."

"Yeah, right. Well, I'm going now. Good luck on the exams."

"Good luck din, kuya."

And then he started walking to his room kaya pumasok na rin ako sa loob. I immediately went to my seat at nilabas ko ang mga notes ko para magbasa.

"Alou!!"
