Here's some ways you can make writing character interactions easier:
- Speech. There's a chapter on speech in this guide addressing things like punctuation and over-use so I don't repeat myself too much. But make sure you know how speech punctuation works and with enough practice, you should be able to use speech effectively for character interactions.
- If its description you're struggling with, imagine the characters senses, actions and feeling individually for a scene. If you know how each character will act, it'll be easier to combine. Essentially, a rough plan or idea of what's going to happen will help.
- Using a character design profile will familiarise yourself with how your characters present themselves. That way introducing them into the story/scene/interaction will be easier. See the chapter on character design and traits for more.
Overall, just get familiar with your new characters (e.g. Traits, looks, personality). Then they'll be easier to introduce.
