joshs pov

tyler and i ended up spending the night with ava and willow at the hospital so their mom could go home and sleep. it was a lot of fun hanging out with ava avocado and talking to willow but we weren't there to have fun.

willow was sick and i couldn't do anything about it. ava was breaking down and missing school so much now. things were slowly getting better but until then i couldn't let ava suffer.

ty and i already delayed our first week of tour dates and i know i can't hold it off longer. i wanted ava to come with us so badly but there was no way i'd make her leave willow.

"josh"

i snap out of my thoughts and look to tyler, "yeah  dude?"

"you know we have to leave soon, better say goodbye"

i sigh. i hate to leave but i have to. i walk over to ava where she was sitting next to willow. "hey willow i hope you don't mind if i steal your sister for a little"

"go ahead" she smiles and waves us away.

ava grabs my hand as i pull her out to the hallway. "ava i hate to say this, but i gotta leave soon" i look down glumly.

she picks my head up so my eyes meet hers and then kisses me. "i know josh. it's alright if you go. i can always come along on tour when willow gets better" she pauses, "i know she won't get perfect but when i know she's well enough i'll come see you. i promise"

i smile and embrace her in a tight hug. hugging her makes me feel warm inside and she's just so perfect. and she always smells amazing. "how do you do it?" i ask.

"hmm? what do you mean?"

"you're so perfect. how do you do it?! like come on.. you're smile, your eyes, your laugh. you. just you"

i can see her cheeks grow red and her smile peak out from her lips.

"oh and you always smell good. what's that perfume?"

she laughs. ah her laugh. it's so fricken gorgeous. she's gorgeous.

"just some stuff my mom got me for christmas"

"well i'm definitely buying you more of that"
