ava's pov

after josh and tyler arrived it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. their presence gave me a sense of security and made it seem like it was going to be okay.

and hearing from the doctor, it was going to be alright. willow was hooked to an iv sleeping in the hospital bed across the room. the doctor said things like this would happen and the best we could do is take extra good care of her and keep sending her in for chemotherapy and treatment.

tyler's head was rested on my left shoulder, as josh was to my right holding my hand. he squeezed it every so often to remind me it was okay.

well he never straight out told me that's why but i could tell. i could also tell he was also worried for willow. he's the sweetest. he drove two hours to see if willow and i were alright.

josh looked to me, "you know, i didn't even ask tyler to come"

"he just wanted to? that's sweet of him"

josh chuckles "yeah he wanted to meet you"

i nudge him playfully "you must talk about me a lot, huh?"

he raises his arm in surrender "hey ill admit it. but only cause i know you've talked about me a lot" he smirks at me.

"who said i stopped talking?" i smirk back.

josh raises an eyebrow at me "huh?"

"you said i have talked about you, when in reality i still do" i laugh booping his nose.

"ohhhh. i still caught you in the act though"

i shake my head and hide behind my hands. i sigh. "yes. yes, you got me"

"that's right, i do have you"

and that's when he kissed me. i missed him a lot. i'm so glad he's here with me now.

i'm glad they came, both tyler and josh. i admire them both very much and can't thank them enough for coming here.

i could sense us all growing closer as the night dragged on. with our heads laid on each other's shoulders and our laughs filling the room, i knew things were going to be better than alright.

and that's when i knew things were gonna change.
