ava's pov

"so what you are saying is that your camera was never broken?" i giggle out. although josh lied to me and hid who he was, i wasn't mad at him. he had a good reason.

josh laughs causing cute little crinkles to form on the outside of his warm brown eyes. "yeah i'm really sorry" he says as he looks out the nearest window.

"it's alright josh, you had a valid reason for it"

he looks back at me, "alright ava"  josh places his hand on my knee and squeezes it softly. i glance down towards my knee and slowly place my hand onto his. our fingers soon intertwine as we hold hands.

"i'm so glad that you decided to meet me" i smile. josh starts to rub his thumb across my hand in a very comforting matter. "me too"

i blush under his touch and look back into his eyes. "when do you have to leave?"

"i shouldn't even be here" josh laughs, "but i should probably leave by tomorrow morning"

"but you are here, so let's make the best of it. come on, grab your jacket! we are going on adventure today!" i giggle out, getting up and running to grab a sweatshirt. "let's go slow poke" i say grabbing onto josh's hand pulling him out my apartment door.

josh stumbles but manages to catch himself before falling to the floor. "sorry" i apologize as josh laughs. "it's quite alright"

"so what do you have planned?" he asks as his hand finds mine, locking our fingers together perfectly. i blush, and soon bring up my free hand to hide the noticeable red flushing my face. "first we are going to get some coffee, and then we will figure out from there i guess"

"so spontaneous i love it"

"i love you" i mumble, surely josh couldn't hear me. it was spoken in a low tone only myself could possibly hear.

"i love you too" josh says as he pulls me closer and connects our lips. fuck, his lips. they were so soft and felt great against mine. i pull away for breath and smile. josh smirks, "i bet you didn't think i heard you, huh?"

"actually yes" i say hiding my face in embarrassment. josh pulls my hands away and holds them firmly in his own hands. "hey, it's okay. atleast i returned the favor. now let's go get that coffee you wanted"

After getting coffee, josh insisted on going to the park and watching the sunset. we walked through the main entrance and found a beach facing the pond in the center of the park. "sorry about earlier" i apologize looking off to some kids chasing the birds.

josh grabbed my knee to take my gaze up at him and he furrowed his eyebrows, "about what exactly?"

"everything in all honesty. ignoring you for a few days, my sister interrupting, my crazy fan mind."

"don't worry about any of that. c'mon i was the one that lied"

"okay josh" i said as i grabbed his hand, that was still placed on my knee, and laced our fingers together. "i love when you do that" i giggled at his remark as he brought his lips up to mine and gently kissed me. "and i love when you do that"

the sunset was beautiful that night and being with JOSH DUN made it about 200 times better. he was so perfect and he seemed so down to earth.

how did i get so lucky?

"that's something i should be asking myself" josh laughed. fuck how... oh no did i...? "did i say that out loud?" i laugh nervously.

"yes you did actually" josh laughed throwing his head back and i couldn't help but admire those cute little crinkles around his eyes, the way his adam's apple moved, and his jaw flex slightly. anyone would of ignored those little things but that's what makes josh, josh. except that he is an amazing drummer in an amazing band.

"that sunset was great! why don't we head back? i'll drop you off then find a hotel or something"

"no josh you can stay at my place. please i insist, i have a futon in my room i'll sleep on and you can have my bed"

"ava don't be silly i'll sleep on the futon"

"whatever you say mr.dun" i laugh and he grabs my hand as we walk home.
