Nico's POV
(There is a slight time jump, in this chapter it's 3 days before Christmas)

I lay in bed listening to music and thinking about Neen. How beautiful she is, how much I want to see her again. Running over all of her features in my head when my phone buzzes.

Hallz:
Hey Nico

Nico:
Hey hallz.

Hallz:
How's your Christmas Eve Eve?
Please tell me you aren't
still listening to sad songs
and thinking about that girl.

I hesitate and think about lieing but I think for this one I'll just be sarcastic.

Nico:
What? No, absolutely not...

Hallz:
That's exactly what your
doing right now isn't it

Loverboy:
Maybe. I miss her.

Hallz:
At least tell me it's
a good song

Loverboy:

Hallz:
Awe come on buddy
that's a sad song

Loverboy:
But it's really pretty

Loverboy:
I think I like her

Hallz:
That's pretty damn obvious

I look up from my phone, has it really been that obvious? The song lyrics start to reach me.

I shake my head out of the trance and respond.

Loverboy:
Yeah I guess it is pretty obvious.

She's so beautiful, she's kind,
She's funny, and she's been
through hell. I want to make
her happy, I want her to be mine.

Loverboy:
What do I do?

Hallz:
If you are ready for it,
then tell her. Bring it up
and just let loose your
feelings and see if she
feels the same way.

Loverboy:

Hallz:
No problem, tell me
how it goes.

I open a seperate chat to Neen and prepare myself to spill my feelings to her.

Nico:
Neen, I want to say I know
I haven't known you for
very long, but I like you.
A lot. That day we spent
in Detroit was one of the
happiest days other than the
day I was drafted. I am
constantly thinking about you
And I miss you. I know you
may not feel the same way but
I wanted you to know. So
would you be my girlfriend?

I know we both have busy
lives and we are young but
we can make this work.

Neeen:

Neeen:
Just whatever you do, don't
tell my brother he would
kill you
