We walked together into the diner, where we were greeted by a waitress.
"Mr. Daniels, Miss Salgado," she greeted us, "please follow me,"
I took a quick glance at Ethan who just gave me a smirk before we walked off with the waitress.
She took us past all the tables, through the whole diner until we reached a door. She opened it and welcomed us in.
As we stepped in, I looked around. It looked pretty much the same as the previous area, except classier and with a second floor. I read a sign up the top of the door which read 'exclusive', which confused me.
"You may seat wherever you'd like," the waitress smiled, and left.
Ethan took us to a table far from the rest, on the second floor. We sat right next to a big window, that gave a great view of the city lights below. We got here just in time to see the sunset.
We sat down, together, my eyes glued to the view and Ethan watching me.
"It's, beautiful," I awed over the sunset.
"Mm," he replied, as if he was in his own world.
I looked at him, his burning stares with his chin in the palm of his hand.
"How did you find out about this place?" I asked, amused.
His face sort of fell, and he slowly put his head down as he spoke, "It was a long time ago,"
I slowly nodded, accepting the fact he didn't want to talk about it. Which was weird, I couldn't think of any possible reasons he would avoid this subject.
Soon, a waiter came by our table and took out order. I couldn't help but notice he kept looking at me while he jotted down our things, and blushing when I caught him. Ethan noticed, and he would squint his eyes every now and then.
He went away and Ethan had his jaw clenched.
"What's wrong?" I asked, furrowed eyebrows.
"Nothing," he said, no emotion in his voice.
"Okay..." I held my hands up in surrender.
"But did you see the way he was looking at you? He looked like he was going to take a bite out of you any moment," he whined, "I'm a guy, trust me, I know that look," he babbled again.
I laughed at his childishness, but he wasn't amused. "It was cute," I said, shrugging.
Ethan sunk in his chair with his arms crossed, glaring at me harshly.
I laughed at his actions and noticed Ethan was trying to hold back a smile. He finally gave in and smiled with the smallest hint of a laugh.
"Dammit," he said, shaking his head," I gave him a confused look, "your smile, it's so contagious," he raised an eyebrow.
I smiled myself and slightly covered my face, feeling shy.
We spent 5 minutes just looking at each other and laughing, smiling. Soon, the food came, delivered by the same waiter. I watched Ethan suspiciously and saw him glaring at the guy as he passed us our food.
