Prologue

"Well, well, well."' My best friend muttered when I walked up to her. "Had a nice little chat with Malfoy?"

I sighed, "it was great." I hoped she'd understand my sarcasm. "He is so nice."

50 minutes earlier

"I am so excited." A girl to my right whispered to her friend. We would be having Herbology and we heard the Gryffindors say that we had to do something with Mandrakes. Again. I already knew what they were just like any other Ravenclaw. Because we had that subject a long time ago too. I wasn't that excited actually, I was quite bored. I wasn't feeling like doing anything for about an hour. But we had to go so I had to cope up with it.

I ignored everyone what was quite easy because of the earmuffs. I just pretended I couldn't hear them. One Slytherin fell to the ground and I let out a soft chuckle. That's so stupid it's funny.

When everyone packed their stuff quite fast, I was rather slow. I was alone with a few Slytherin guys that I couldn't fully remember. They were probably going to scream mean things to me. Because I was muggleborn, or a mudblood as they said it. I sighed and continued packing my stuff and cleaning it.

"Hello there," said a voice I didn't remember but I was sure I heard it before.

"Hello," I said, not really paying attention to the guy behind me.

"Ava isn't it?" He said, and I turned around.

I nodded, "that's me."

"Is it true that your parents are muggles?" He said it with pure entertainment dripping from his words.

"Yes it's true, and you must be Malfoy." I said, "because you're blonde, arrogant and you clearly don't like muggleborns." I only knew this stuff because he was really mean to a Gryffindor a few years ago. And I kind of wanted to know who would say such thing. And he said something just like that. I knew who his parents where, snobbish and not really nice to anyone who wasn't a pureblood. Well I probably didn't have to tell you I disliked Malfoy and his entire family.

He looked at me in shock, "how dare you talk to me like that you ... you.. mudblood."

"Wow so original, it's not like I've heard almost every Slytherin say that"' I looked at him in pure annoyance. "And if you don't mind I need to eat too."

I walked away and walked in to Professor Sprout when I walked out. "Sorry Professor," I said softly and she gave me a reassuring smile. "No problem dear."

Malfoy was still standing in the middle of the greenhouse. Looking quite shocked while standing there. I grinned and sat down with my best friend Chrissy. I didn´t care what people thought about me, or if they hated me.

"So that's what happened! A lot of people were saying you had a huge make-out session with Malfoy and Sprout walked in to you two." She smiled, as if that would ever happen.

"Yeah, in his dreams maybe." I said while snickering. "There is no way, I would lower my standards to that." Not that I'm beautiful or anything but I just don't like douche bags. Weird right? Note the sarcasm there. Because I heard tell that Draco wasn't really nice.

"And how about your dreams?" She elbowed me in the stomach and I groaned.

"You beast," I said while rubbing my tummy, sending her a sideways glance. "Eat your meal, idiot."

We ate silently not really wanting to say anything to each other, not that we were angry or anything. Just silence was pretty nice too, if you ask me. And talking with your mouth full was kind of disgusting. I drank some pumpkinjuice and looked next to me, Chrissy was flirting with James a guy from our house. She had a crush on him like forever, and when his girlfriend broke up with him a few days ago. She had been all over him, and it 's quite annoying, but I couldn't actually blame her, I mean she was in love. And all of that.
