She was truly gone.
Allura, she was dead.
It was an unexpected assassination, curtsey of the Galran empire.
They had been at a diplomatic mission, trying to recruit allies, when suddenly she was shot down by a sniper, hiding in the local shops. It was a bullet straight through the head, a clean shot if you will.
Still, no one could take back the fact that she had died. You can't just go back in time and reverse things.
Lance stood there silently, admiring her beauty, even in death.
The way her hair framed her face in such an elegant way, how her skin dipped near her markings, her round plump lips, still as beautiful as ever. The one thing that did bother him was her eyes.
He couldn't see them.
Allura' eyes were closed, never to be seen again.
Among the many things Lance would lose, he never would have guessed she'd be the first.
He'd never be able to see her smile that could light up a whole room again.
Nor see her eyes sparkle with excitement at the mention of a new adventure.
Her booming laugh was stolen away from the red paladin's life.
Worst of all, he'd never be able to feel the warmth of her hand, brush against his.
It was all gone, taken away from him so suddenly.
So when everyone was finally ready to say their final goodbyes, everything had sunk in.
He'd never see her again.
All of the memories they had made were cut short, just because they couldn't manage to see a bullet pass through her head.
Allura, former princess of Altea, the third blue paladin, and a member of the space family, had passed away at last.
She was truly gone.
