Chapter 53: Future*

"Sakura... is that what you want me to call you from now on?" I shook my head

"No... only you may now call me Sophie. It'll be a reminder of who I use to be" he smiled "I've decided to stay here in Kalos for good. Right now, everyone is doing their own jobs... you have one as well, and did I mention that I quit being a designer?" I nervously laughed "I've decided for myself. I always wanted to be someone who works with Pokémon. I believe in my team no matter what, that's why I decided that I want to become Champion" his eyes widened

"How are you going to do that? You never challenged all the gyms-" I took out my badge case to show him "when did..?"

"It was during the week where I took time to myself. I took the time to train my Pokémon and battle gym leaders. I wanted to clear my mind..." he stared at me for a good while before smiling again and take my cheeks, looking at me closely "Calem..."

"That glow... it suits you" he wrapped his arms around me "I'm... so happy" my eyes widened "I thought I was going to loose you again. Thank you... for coming back" from the corner of my eye, I saw a tear fall on my shoulder. He's crying... "you are my everything... I don't want to live without you" I pulled away to look into his eyes

"I'm not going anywhere anymore" I still had the stone in my hands "um..." I held it close to my heart "the keystone you gave me... it was my actual heart and who could have known? It's like it was meant to be. You really cared about me and wanted to share your heart with me. Even if I didn't accept your proposal, somewhere inside of me just didn't understand and accepted unknowingly. It's part of my heart... I feel so much more alive when I hold it. Even if it was wrong to keep something that wasn't used what it was meant for" I was too nervous to say it "I really love the stone... I can't part from it. Just like... how it's hard to part from you" I nervously looked up at his eyes shining down at me "t-the proposal you gave... I'm sorry I was so late to respond... but... if it's okay to accept it now" I bowed and gave him the stone Mesprit gave me "A-Ask me again!"

Nothing happened for the longest. I stood up to see that tears were rolling down his cheeks like rain. His finger was on top of the stone, gently enough to where I couldn't feel it. His cheeks and eyes were red from all the crying, and his lips were quivering. He fell on his knees and sobbing into his hand while using the other for support.

"C-Calem!"

"My chest hurts..." he sobbed "is this what relief feels like?" I flinched "Sophie... Sophia" he stood on his knee and took my hand, making me blush again to see him standing in that pose again "make me the happiness man in the world..." I smiled and held his hand with both of mine "and marry me"

"Y-yeah..." I was too nervous to speak. I cupped my face from the embarrassment. That's when he stood up to remove my hands and leaned into my face to passionately kiss me. His cold lips were submerged with my warm ones. Even though somehow, it felt hot enough to where I feel like my body was melting. His lips were perfect against mine, like they were meant to come together. My heart felt so light... I'm so happy

"You see... the way keystones are created. If the person has a big heart, they may create the keystone and find it easily. In your case... The one you know as Gregory found your stone and later gave it to Calem. He returned your heart, and you'll return his" Mesprits words echoed through my head "must be fate..." those were it's last words before completely disappearing

"C-can we go home?" Calem released himself and blushed against my forehead. The long kiss made us loose each other's breath. I waited to catch my breath and smiled

"Even if I'd like to go home, I have some business in the Pokémon League" I stepped away "you'll be looking at Kalos's new champion soon"

"You weren't even that good of a trainer, remember?" He held his hips "are you confident enough to prove you're not going to lie to me?" I narrowed my eyes playfully
