14. Embracing the New

A gush of warmth touching my life
After ages galore and nigh,
Fascinating was feeling those butterflies
In spite of asking myself 'oh why?'

Bringing in the change I've been running from,
Different never felt so nice,
The security I feel just with your thoughts
Makes me wonder in awe at times.

Lore always ascertained that opposites attract,
But being poles apart had a joy of its own,
Connecting the missing halves of us
Gave birth to something whole and new.

Oh, embracing the new is a gush of adrenaline,
My smile having never been so wide,
Who knew that change could be this welcome
Inspite of asking myself 'oh why?'
