It hadn't taken long before the two parted from their kiss, both out of breath and left chilled by the evening cold. The sweetness Naruto tasted upon his lips would leave him in a lovesick daze before the realisation of what he had just done hit him.

"G-Gaara!!"

Naruto shouted as he abruptly pushed away the now confussed redhead. Backing away suddenly, Naruto began freaking out running this way and that as he panicked.

"Oh. Oh man... I can't believe i did that!" - "What was i thinking!!"

"Naruto..."

"Gaara! I'm so sorry!" - "Agh! I'm such a moron!"

"Naruto..."

"Augh!! You must hate me!" - " I'm gonna have to run away and start a new life as a hobo!"

"Naruto!"

As hands where placed firmly upon the blonde's shoulders he couldn't help but squeak as he was dragged into another kiss. The feeling of such tender lips against his own soothed his chaotic mind. As the two parted once again he couldn't help but stare at the overly shy and blushing sand-nin before him.

"I don't hate you."

"You don't?"

"I don't."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Really, Really--"

"Naruto..."

"Right. Sorry."

Looking down with a mixture of both embaressment and excitement, the kind that could only be expressed through a large toothy grin, the blond slowly intertwined the both of their hands as they stood face to face in the cold and otherwise silent evening. Although the night chill nipped at their skin, the two counted themselves lucky that the wind had yet to pick up.

In honesty, Naruto couldn't help himself but to think about everything that was happening and had happened that day. He'd count this as the happiest day of his life, perhapse right beside the day he first tried ichiraku's ramen. Looking into the seafoam orbs before him he finally decided to speak up.

"So.. I guess this means we're dating.. Doesn't it."

"Dating... I. I guess it does."

Gaara replied softly as he moved himself closer to the Uzumaki. Being from a dessert village, he wasn't so acustomed to the cold. Perhaps at night when the tempretures would drop far below zero, however by then he would always be indoors.

"I guess that makes you my boyfriend too then."

Naruto chuckled nervously as he moved a hand to scratch his head before a thought and a sudden anxious feeling sent a shiver up his spine making him quiver. As if death was staring him down.

"Oh man! Your brother's gonna kill me!!"

"Hm. Perhapse."

"Perhapse!?"

Naruto whined in fear as he thought of the many rediculous ways his new boyfriend's siblings would end him.

"It'll be fine Naruto. But... I guess we'll have to tell your friends too."

"Oh... Yeah." - "Well, I'm sure we can worry about that till later!"

"Later?"

"Yeah! I'm freezing.. And hungry"

Naruto laughed out, earning a small snicker from the vessel. Gaara couldn't remember a time in his life that he had laughed this much. Nor a moment in which he had felt so light on his feet, so at ease and safe in the company of another.

"Let's go grocery shopping and head home then. I'll cook dinner if you want to continue opening the moving boxes. The New furniature should be there too."

"Sounds fine and fair to me!"

Naruto laughed, holding tight to the other's hand he slowly came to realise just how right he was to trust in his feelings, let alone his instincts. His smile, was as wide as ever and he wore it proud as the two walked hand in hand down the steps of the mansion on their way to the market streets of Konoha. Being so late in the evening, the two didn't have to worry about prying eyes nor any whom may object to their new found bond.

Then again, those whom did would easily and swiftly be silenced by the redhead's sand, or his petrifying glare at the very least. There wasn't anything that Gaara was going to let get in the way of this blissful moment he shared with his so called 'Boyfriend'. However, he felt slightly embaressed calling the Uzumaki as such in public. Perhapse he would save it for themselves. For now.

Reaching the General market, the two let go of each other, much to their own displeasure and head inside one of the various stores. Grabbing a basket and slowly going up and down the inner isles. Pulling a list from his pocket the vessel started reading through the various items, pointing here and there as his partner fetched them.

"No eggplant... How about zuchini?"

"Uhh. Sure. I'll try anything once."

"I think I can work with that."

Giving the other a toothy grin, the Uzumaki grabbed some onions, potatoes and chilis. All nessesary staples for the two of them. As well grabbing rice and a small pack of jasmine tea. However before he could place the tea in the basket, he was stopped by the redhead whom shook his head in disagreance.

"I thought you liked jasmine?"

"I do. But we need alot more then just that tiny box. Get the bigger one."

"Eh? But it's massive!"

"I know. I don't just drink jasmine. The tea is perfect for cooking rice in and also for stress releif if the bags are applied to closed eyes."

"Huh... I didn't know that"

Shrugging gently the sand-nin took the box from the blonde and placed it back on the shelf. taking from beside it a rather large pack of the loose leaf. Enough to last them atleast a year. Placing it in the basket he moved on, pulling the Uzumaki by his jumper.

The two didn't spend too long in the store before they had almost all they needed. Only missing items that fell under the meat and seafood catagory of both their list and diets. Paying and leaving the store, Gaara happily left the heavy lifting to the other, so that he could free his hands to choose from the wide veriety of fish and choice cuts of meat the other smaller merchants and butchers had to offer. The selection, not suprising to the sand-nin was much wider and had a greater veriety then from what he was used to in his own village.

For those whom lived in the dessert it was extreamly difficult to get fresh produce and meats delivered unless dried and not requiring to be frozen. It was a difficult journey as well for those whom delivered their product from other villages, as the borderlands where prone to heavy bandit based attacks.

Picking out several selections of fish and meats, the two finalized their shopping and made for the luckily short journey home.

"What are you thinking of making?"

"Not sure. I was thinking curry. But this chicken looks really tender. So perhapse Lemon chicken."

"That sound's delicious! Lemon chicken, some rice... Oh! And maybe some steamed buns?"

"Sure. Barbeque or red bean?"

"Barbeque please!"

Nodding the redhead gave a gentle smile.

Nothing could be better then this...
