She was right.

She didn't hear a word from him that summer.

She tried so hard to forget him. She was sure he'd already forgotten her.

But she couldn't.

No matter how hard she tried, she always thought of him. Everything reminded her of him.

She couldn't let go.

She didn't want to let go.

She knew it was pointless. Of course it was. To long for someone who you've only known for a few months.

To want someone who would never want you back.

Two months passed. It was July 17th.

Her birthday.

Still, she missed him.

Still, every single one of her thoughts revolved around him.

But if he really cared, why hadn't he reached out to her?

He doesn't care.

She bit her lip. Her eyes stung.

The thoughts were right.

She shouldn't have put so much trust in one person.

She did it again.

She never learned her lesson.

After awhile, she began to forget what he looked like.
