Zombie Infection

Chapter seven

“Katherine, wake up!” I heard Zack’s voice off in a distance, but for some reason I couldn’t wake up my dream went on it kept going showing me the horror as they kill my family killed Sean and Kelly making me watch not even hurting me, “Zack!!!” I cried out as they got a hold of him killing him as I stood there shooting them one by one, “Zack!” I felt as if nothing could stop them this wasn’t a dream, but for some reason it felt as if it would come true, “Zack!” I cried as tears flowed out of my eyes landing on my shirt, “I’m sorry,” I said as I rose my gun and pointed it at his head, “I’ll always love you Zack always,” I said as I felt my heart beat a little faster, “K…Katherine, I…” He didn’t say the rest as his blue eyes closed leaving me behind in his puddle of blood making me wonder if I should fight for one last breath, but I promise him I would fight till then end.

“Katherine! Wake up please!” I could feel arms around me I could feel tears little hands holding my hand, “Please….” It was Zack’s voice and Kelly’s hands, “Sean she won’t wake up!!!” Zack’s voice sniveled, “Zack, she will wake up I know she will,” Sean said in a whisper. I could feel Zack pulling me closer as if was dead, but I wasn’t...or was I? I could hear what they were saying but one thing I knew Zack never let me go, “Zack you need rest leave her here ill watch over her. She a sister to me after all,” Sean said as I felt his hand brush back my hair, “I can’t what if she wakes up and I’m not here to calm her down,” Zack’s voice gasped, but I wouldn’t be scared I was alright, “Go,” Sean said as I felt Zack’s arm’s let go of me, “I’ll be back…Katherine,” Zack said as he kissed my cheek.

I fell back into another dream only this time it was only me. I walked around the empty city abandon cars, houses, and buildings I thought to myself, “Am I really the only one left,” My shirt was still wet from Sean’s Kelly’s and Zack’s blood but my hands still held the only gun I had left. As I reached 7th street a low mumble came from behind me as a zombie stood there his hands reaching for me ankle broken one eye hanging out of its socket and hand gone. I slowly walked backward making the zombie stumble a pond me now grabbing a hold of my boot, “Sorry about this,” I said as I pulled up my gun and aimed it at its head. I slowly counted to three as I pulled the trigger making the hand go in a limp.

I popped up waking up in a room on a bed with the sun shining through it making my eyes squint, “Katherine!” I heard Sean’s voice as he hugged me, but I could hardly see from the sun, “Sean? Where am I?” I asked puzzled. As my vision came back I saw the inside of the room I was in. It was small it had one dresser a bed and a bathroom on the other side of me, “We found this place while driving kind of nice right,” Sean said as if it was a dream come true, “Yeah sure,” I said as I saw out the window looking at the car we were in abandon like the others, “Sean,” I said slowly, he turned to look at me, “What’s up?” he asked me s if he were trying to play cool, “Don’t you think it’s time just to give up?” I said as I saw two zombies walking pass the house, “No, I don’t think so. Katherine we don’t know what’s out there what if we killed ourselves right now and tomorrow that find a cure or make a safe zone? What then, we would be dead not even trying.” Sean snapped at me, “I know but what if there isn’t there hasn’t been for two months now, what makes you think there is going to be on tomorrow or another day for that fact!” I shouted back at him, “What if Sean we do find one and then it all goes down like the rest of this place what if we all die because you wanted to go there! What then…what about Kelly!”

He walked to me, “I have been trying to keep you and Kelly safe from those THINGS you both are the only thing I could ever care about nothing else!” He hissed at me, “Well Sean it don’t seem like it!”I stopped, “I’m sorry I didn’t mean that,” I said as I looked down at my feet, “It’s okay, I know we shouldn’t be fighting,” Sean said as he hugged me, “I won’t lose you Katherine I just won’t,” Sean sighed and knew he wouldn’t but that don’t mean I wouldn’t let him die just for me.
