Chapter 37: Disguise*

I sat on the same spot for what felt like awhile. I didn't know how much time went by, but I'm pretty sure I saw Calem running by while I was hidden well in the shadows. He of all people should know about shadows, I guess I'm lucky that he kept going

"Make sure none of them see me" I told Absol. It nodded and looked up to see someone approaching. I stared up ahead as well to see who it was, knowing it couldn't be one of my friends. The person approached me with a umbrella, keeping the rain from soaking my feet

"Have you been out here the whole time?" Nora, Calem's mom, asked, holding out her hand

"Only a few hours" I took her hand and stood up

"Let's get you warm, okay?"

"You'd do that?"

"Anything for the girl who saved my baby!" I smiled and followed her through the rain and to her house

"Anything?" She smiled happily, letting me in and ran off to give me a blanket to keep warm. I snuggled with it and started shaking, not realizing how cold I was. I never really felt the cold... but my body did. It works the same as my emotions I guess

"There you go dear" Nora smiled "how does that feel?" I looked to the side and saw a Blissey walking over with a warm cup of chocolate milk and gave it to me

"To be honest, I'm not really sure. I can't feel anything, but I've calmed my shaking" I looked at my cup "is this the Pokémon that healed Calem..?" She nodded

"It is... pretty cool huh? I use it a lot in therapy for my clients" she looked back at me "You've must've been out there for a long time. Where's Calem?"

"Probably out looking for me" I took out my phone to text one of his millions of messages to at least put some water in his flame "I have to avoid him and my friends just until tomorrow. I have to keep this hidden until it's ready" I patted my head scarf "I need a place to stay... mind lending your couch for one more night?" She smiled and nodded

"No problem! Let me know how I can help? Will this effect Calem?"

"He'll probably find out as soon as he sees me, but I'm a pretty great actress" I smirked. She smirked with me

"I think I like you. You sure you don't want to marry my son?" I shook my head and walked to the hallway restroom

"We'll see" I winked and closed the door behind me, taking off the scarf to see the final results "it turned out better than I thought!" I gasped and frowned at my reflection, seeing how much I looked like Serena "Serena..." I touched the mirror "even if we look so much alike, I can never be you. You deserve everything in life. That's why I'm going to make my best entrance and keep your crown" B gave me the crown Serena shoved into it "this will be a perfect way to convince them I'm Serena. Even Calem shouldn't be able to recognize me. This should put my friends peace in mind for now" I took out my hairdryer and went to work

The next evening, I let out my Pokémon before I was about to head out for the party I've been waiting for all night long. My Pokémon looked around "so?" I raised my arms "how do I look?" They turned around and all was silence. I'm sure Lucario and Fennekin was the most confused out of everyone else who was looking around for me "I guess I pulled off the disguise" everyone jumped. Pichu came to sniff me out and gasped when convinced "this is what I wanted to do. It was probably a mistake for never really explaining a lot, but this is for my sister! Please don't let me down" Fennekin nodded while Eevee had second thoughts "don't do this to me... we worked so hard for this. It was my fault for never saying anything.
