Okay. If you didn't know, today, October 11th, is National Coming Out Day in the U.S.
My mom is super supportive and a social justice warrior 110%, (where I got it from) and today I came home to cupcakes on the table with rainbow sprinkles. I asked my mom what they were, and she said that they're "coming out cupcakes!"
I asked what the plan was, thinking that maybe everyone in my family was supposed to get one? But no. She looked at me and very seriously said "you're going to eat them in celebration of being gay."
My mom. My fucking mom. For no reason other than that it's coming out day (I've been out to her for a few months so it wasn't like an anniversary of that or anything) bought my sister and me a case of fucking rainbow cupcakes for coming out day.
