Hello, everyone

I have three ducks and three chickens that live in my backyard. One of the chickens actually lived in my room for a few months, and we have a caring friendship where I carry her around and she lords over the other birds, she eats from my hand (which the others simply refuse to do), clucks at me and runs up to say hello whenever I come into the backyard; it's truly heartwarming. Her name is Fluffy.

The birds have been roosting and being broody (typical of them) because they're roosting, but a new habit had emerged: co-parenting.

Two chickens at a time are sitting on the same nest, and all of them are female, so don't worry about them protecting actual chicks.

This can mean two things: one, that these three (Fluffy, my friend, Thelma, who rarely interacts with me, and Lucy, who's been slowly working up to friendship) are all a parent squad and best friends who take turns watching other each other's eggs, OR—

MY CHICKENS ARE POLYAMOROUS LESBIANS

I'm happy for them, either way
