Statue

We all stood outside, Akko showing Diana and her followers the Shiny Rod. I sighed as they all said that the Shiny Rod must be a fake 'I love Hannah and Barbara, but they're always mean whenever they're near Diana' I thought angrily That's why I Diana so much. I tuned back in

"- show you the miracle that is Chariot!" Akko exclaimed, only then did I notice that Akko's hair plant was growing. I smiled as she stomped around making the plant bounce "watch this" Akko said pointing the rod at a statue

"Stop it Akko" Lotte said quietly

"I can do it, if I believe" Akko said determined, I smiled and stood tall 'you can do it Akko' I thought happily "please shiny rod" she said hoping it would help "please perform a miracle like you did yesterday" Akko begged "stone statue" she started closing her eyes "move!" She said waving the rod at it, my eyes widen and I face palm, when she realised it did nothing a leaf fell off her hair plant and Akko started to sweat slightly

"Akko! You need a real spell remember!" I exclaimed, Akko groaned and kept trying

"Statue move! Come on, move! Please move!" She begged the statue, I saw Hannah and Barbara smile and snicker. I glared at them fiercely "come on! Come on, move!" Akko continued

"Akko..." Lotte muttered looking at her sadly

"Why? it was working yesterday" Akko stated looking at the ground sadly

"Ansolew airo!" I heard Diana exclaim. My eyes widen 'why show off, Akko is embarrassed enough and you just have to make it worse' I thought angrily. The statues eyes opened and it leaned forward towards Akko. Akko started to freak out and she walked backwards.

I walked behind Akko and she tripped over, making me keep her up. I held her in place as the statue grabbed the plant and pulled it, turning the sapling into her normal hair. The statue went back to place and I released Akko and walked away again.

I looked around and saw everybody had their jaws dropped 'but that's the simplest spell, anyone could do it' I thought annoyed 'the only reason it looked impressive was because Akko failed at doing it' I growled as everyone looked at Diana in awe.

"It's only advanced magic that can make stone statues come alive!" Barbara fawned.

"Diana is a miracle witch!" Hannah exclaimed excitedly. Diana cuts them off by raising a hand. I growl along with Aero and crouch in front of Akko

"Are you okay?" Lotte asked worried as Sucy pokes Akko's cheek confused

"Magic is cultivated by a long tradition of ongoing, difficult studies" Diana said drawing the attention of us "magic is not something a person who gets intrigued by a fad can ever learn" Diana states crossing her arms

"Diana is a Cavendish, a distinguished family with 1500 years of history" Barbara states teasingly

"It's a far cry from a show magician like Chariot" Hannah said with her hands on her hips. I growl and step in front of Akko knowing she was still too shocked from the statue coming to life to defend herself and Chariot

"You think Diana is so great because her ancestors were!?" I asked everyone shouting "who do you think Diana's first ancestor was!? do you think she was some great witch who could perform spells with ease?" I asked growling "no! She wasn't! She was just like Akko, who I think will be a great witch one day!" I state with confidence.

I glared directly at Diana making sure to not lose eye contact, I knew I had to defend Akko nobody else was going too

"this is Akko's first day, she was brave enough to be the first non-witch family child to come to this school! You're a coward! Hiding behind the Cavendish name" I stated pointing at Diana "if you're so great, challenge me and not a first day student! Challenge someone with the same amount of experience as you! Do you really believe that because of your ancestor's 1500 years makes you any better than everyone? Because it doesn't! You're just as good as everybody here! Including Akko! I know for a fact that the Shiny Rod she's holding is real, because it saved my life! So don't act like you know everything!" I yelled, Diana glared at me and flicked her hair walking away.

I sighed and turned around to see Akko staring at me with teary eyes

"What? Why are you crying?" I panicked "did the statue pull your hair too hard? Did I say something wrong" I questioned frantically. Akko cut me off by squeezing me in a hug. I tensed, but I quickly relaxed and hugged her back confused

"Thank you!" She yelled still hugging tightly

"Hey, I've got to protect a fellow Shiny Chariot supporter!" I said happily. Akko gasped grabbing me by my shoulders and shaking me

"You like Shiny Chariot too!?" She asked excitedly. I smiled not caring about her still shaking me, I swiftly nodded

"Of course" I answered smiling

Sorry for the short chapter and long wait! I've just been busy with other books! I know it's not a good excuse or anything! I just got to this point and was really confused on what to do next!
