I hear Akko climbing the vines of the building. I step around to see her fall and quickly do a spell to break her fall slightly, I can't hold her up without proper warning

I was about to ask her what she was doing, but I heard puffing and panting coming up the steps and decided to check that out. I look over and see Lotte climbing the steps

"I'm gonna be late!" She whines, suddenly her foot gets caught on a step and trips. I take a deep breath and cast a spell stopping her and most of her objects from falling. I flick the wand and she goes back to where she was and so does the items I got. I breathe heavily from using that much magic outside the academy

"You have-" I stop to breathe "to stop being clumsy guys" I pant out

"Oh (y/n) thank you!" She bows slightly then goes to picking up the things I didn't get "mother and Yanne packed too many gifts!" She complains to herself. Akko picks up Lotte's hat and hands it to her. Lotte stands up "thank you" Lotte says with a slight bow. Lotte runs into the leyline and gets over her broom.

I let Aero jump in my backpack and walk over to where she and Akko were

"Tia..." Lotte begins but goes silent looking at Akko who's staring at her sadly  "are you coming? Orientation starts soon" Lotte says to Akko who's eyes go watery, her bottom lip quivers and makes a whine noise "I've never seen you before. Are you new?" Lotte asks, Akko makes a noise of agreement nodding her head once down "Luna nova enforces the rules. You're not let in if you're late. You get expelled right away" Lotte says matter-of-factly

"She doesn't/I don't have a broom" Akko and I say at the same time, Akko looks at me and back at Lotte

"Even if I did, I don't know how to ride one" Akko said sadly

"I'm sorry. I don't want to be late" Lotte says guiltily. Akko makes yet another sad sound with a sad face. After a few seconds, Lotte breaks the silence "want a ride?" She asks

"Finally! I don't think I could handle her sad face anymore! I was about to force you to give her a ride!" I said happily

"Why couldn't you give her a ride?" Lotte asks sighing "you can carry two people I've seen it!" She accuses

"Wow Lotte, I already have another person on this broom" I say crossing my arms, Lotte raises a brow

"Really? Where are they?" She asks in a smart tone

"My backpack" I state flatly "isn't that right Aero?" I ask, Aero pops his head out of the backpack and barks, Lotte sighs

"But do you want a ride?" Lotte asks, Akko gets out of her sad mood and her eyes widen in slight shock

"I've never had a passenger before but I may be able to do it if I try" Lotte says smiling, Akko runs right by lottes face

"Really!? Thank you!" Akko yells, Akko side hugs Lotte "a kind witch does exist!" She says still hugging her

"Rude" I say looking away from Akko pouting

"My name is atsuko kagari. You can call me Akko!" Akko says still hugging Lotte and ignoring me which makes me pout more

"M-my name is Lotte" Lotte says smiling nervously "hurry up we don't have time" Lotte says

"Yeah!" Akko agrees, I hop on my broom getting ready to leave

"Alright guys, I'll leave you to it!" I say giving them a two finger salute Aero barks a goodbye "Tia Freyre" I say calmly green magic surrounds the end of the broom and it calmly flies into the air going into the leyway. The fastness of the portal hits me and I lay down on my broom for a more aerodynamic shape.

Aero barks and I nod my head I'm sure we'll see them later, Aero barks again and I sigh and take out a book and hand it to him

"I suppose I should study a bit about mythical creatures eh" he barks triumphantly and I just sigh "okay ask me a question" I say sighing again, he barks reading from the book "really? That one's easy! You should never say Kutcher Katela Flala in the Forest of Arcturus you'd have to be stupid!" I say amazed he even asked, he barked again "you know why you don't say it! There's a cockatrice in there. You're literally telling it to eat you!" I exclaimed "next question make it harder this time!" I laughed, he barked "they make the person they sting fall in love with the first person they see" I said simply he barks again "they feed off of magic that's why you shouldn't shoot a dragon with magic, seriously that's simple" he barks "Arcas, the guard of Polaris, will attack anyone who gets close to the fountain. It's not the best idea to wake it up" I say bored he barks "Minotaur now those are awesome! What I like about minotaurs the most is they are actually sweethearts if you get their trust! I know a lot of minotaurs but of course you know that!" He barked happily and I laughed "yeah even though minotaurs are sweethearts, I think Mary is a bad influence of language for you" I tease, he barks pouting

I stretch my arms out slightly hoping I'm almost close to the academy when something flies past super fast. I look ahead and see Sucy was there 'how slow is she going? She went in here ages ago and she still hasn't made it to the academy?' I thought confused well it wasn't her who went past super fast what was. I hear some yelling but can make out who or what it is. I look back to Aero

"Did you hear that as well?" I ask him not really looking where I'm flying the broom.

Aero's eyes widen and he barks in warning and we're hit by... Lotte?
