Roommates

I sighed thankful of getting out of there quickly, I looked up at the teacher annoyed that she was yabbering on about 'responsibilities' or 'disrespectful', I nodded along pretending I was listening. She opened the doorway and there was Lotte, and Sucy. I forced a smile at them and waved lightly 'this is going to be difficult to hide my ears' I thought sorrowfully, I was pushed lightly into the room and the door closed behind me. I glared distastefully at the door and huffed

"Hey guys" I said leaning on the wall with my arms crossed. They waved and chatted among themselves as I quietly freaked out over how to hide my ears. I walked over and sat on the hammock using a spell to change my uniform to my sleeping clothes and a beanie. I turned when I heard the room door open to see the teacher

"Say hello to your new roommate" she said casually. Akko's head poked around the doorframe slowly and looked surprised when she saw us. I smiled lightly even more worried than before "for the next three years, you four will be given especially strict guidance" she said and walked out closing the door behind herself

"Wow, sounds exciting" I said sarcastically. Akko smiles

"I'm Atsuko Kagari. Nice to meet you!" She said ending it off with a closed eye smile. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. I walked outside the room and clapped making a barking Aero jump into my arms, I smiled and pat his head happily. I walked into the room shutting the door and laying down on the hammock with Aero on my stomach

"Night guys" I said awkwardly, they looked at me strangely

"It only just turned dark" Akko said looking at the dim sky, I nodded and pulled a blanket over myself

"I know I just..." I started looking out at the almost dark sky. Memories flashed in my mind

"I can't control it!"
"I didn't mean to!"
"I want to"

Screams filled my head and I gulped involuntarily

"I don't do well in the dark" I said still staring at the window with wide eyes

"Oh you're afraid of the dark?" Akko said thinking she figured it out. A memory flashed in my head

"I am the dark"

I nodded my head slowly

"Something like that" I said turning away and closing my eyes
