"Show off" I muttered quickly in between coughs. Most of the class laughed and I smirked. The teacher's face contorted into anger

"Miss l/n! Would you like to read the rest!?" She yelled angrily, my smirk grew and I stood up pushing my chair back with a scrape

"Certainly" I said smoothly "woe belongs to those who move it" I answered smoothly, the teacher smirked but I didn't back down

"Wrong! It's 'woe betide the one who moves it'" she answers smugly. The class laughs at me but I stand tall. I could see sympathy filled looks sent my way, but I ignore that

"Actually miss" I growled "I translated each and every letter of that ancient alphabet" I stated holding up my personal book.

I kept things I learn for myself in a small journal . I quickly flipped through the book and landed on the page and held it up

"that ancient text has been misread for years and I plan to change that!" I growled. The teacher and the class shut up and I slammed the small book on my table "so next time you want to embarrass me, remember. I'm going to embarrass you more" I stated with a pointed death stare flopping back into my chair, Aero barked in agreement. It was silent for a moment and the teacher cleared her throat

"Wonderful Diana...y/n. Since I've started teaching, you've been the only students who have been able to read this" she said impressed by Diana. I rolled my eyes

"Yes, and in your life you've never met anyone who thinks for themselves and could read it properly until now" I muttered in my best teacher impression. I heard Sucy snicker and I smiled at her. Diana's friends immediately sucked up to her saying how 'amazing' she did and so on. I rolled my eyes at how pitiful they were.

Finally the bell signalled the next class. I strolled past the teacher winking and shooting a finger gun at her. Her face showed defeat and I smirked. We went to my number one most creepy class potion brewing

"The more you stir it, the more the colour changes! Then you add a live frog into the cauldron. You have to put the frog in while the water is still cold in order to get the stock..." I stopped listening to the pointed nose teacher and smelt the air almost dying. Sucy inhaled the stuff like it was the most delicious thing in the world and I involuntarily shuttered "smell that? What a nice aroma!" She exclaimed, Akko coughed and sputtered and Sucy kept breathing it in,  I put my wand in the air and made a small air bubble large enough for Lotte, Akko and I. I left Sucy to enjoy the aroma.

This went on and on. The only exciting thing was Sucy turning Akko's ponytail thing into a plant. It was finally time to eat! I ran like crazy dragging the three with me to the cafeteria.

I got my food first and ran to find my friends and I a seat. I sat down at a random bench and waved over the others when they collected the amazing food

"How come magic classes are all so boring!?" Akko shouted slamming her fists on the table "I thought they'd be more magical and dreamy" she stated angrily. I snickered not being able to take her seriously with the plant on her head. Sucy asked for something from Lotte as Akko kept ranting "it's nothing like I thought it would be" Akko said waving her fork in a circle "its hard to believe Shiny Chariot learnt magic at this school" she said thoughtfully. Diana walked behind her sassily and I glared at her furiously

"Nobody accepts Shiny Chariot's magic. Especially in this school" Diana said glaring down at her. I looked down 'I do' I thought playing with my food "Miss Kagari. That's your name, right? You're a newcomer" she stated with a hand on her hip

"You can call me-" Akko starts, she cuts herself off by chewing her food swiftly "you can call me Akko" she said after swallowing her food. "You were outstanding in class" Akko complemented. Diana completely ignored it without thanking Akko at all

"My name is Diana Cavendish" Diana says smoothly

"You don't know Diana?" Hannah asked practically disgusted "she's extremely famous in the magic world you know?" She explained, Barbara suddenly appears with a smug look on her face

"They say she'll be the best witch in the history of Luna Nova" Barbara said dreamily. I sigh as Akko's mouth falls agape

"Well, I'll call you Akko" Diana states calmly "but in the magic world, nobody speaks highly of Chariot... You should remember that" Diana said seriously. Akko's face shows rage

"That's not true! People all over the world love Chariot's magic show. It was so popular!" Akko defended quickly

"True, she was once very popular, but it was just a show" Diana stated coldly "there was no way that magic was going to last very long, it's been ten years since Chariot quit the show and disappeared. Nobody cares what she's doing or where she is now" Diana said shrugging, she smugly turned around with a hair flick

"Chariot gave me a dream!" Akko said before Diana could walk away "its true" she said with determination in her eyes "and I found the shiny rod" she stated

"Shiny rod?" Diana asked raising a brow
