Chapter 8

Shawn's POV:

Today is sunday. That means Luc and I have hockey training. We were sitting on the bench outside the ice rink putting our shoes on.

I could feel Lucs gaze on my all the time knowing he wants me to tell him about my ice hockey date with Maggie. Well actually it wasn't even a date, we just spend time together like always. But I really wish it was a date.

Sighing I finally look over to my best friend, who just grins at me. "Oh come on Shawn. Just tell me about it ! Did you tell her that you like her ? Or did you kiss her ?" he asks rolling his eyes.

"Well..." I start to say. "Well what?!" he interrupts me. "Just let me speak" I answer annoyed. "So, actually we just had fun like always. She looked so cute trying to skate without falling." I start to grin, thinking about how she walked over to me looking like a duck.

"But there was a moment, where I was staring at her again but... she didn't notice, she just stared back.

It felt like we were standing there for hours but well, suddenly she turned her head away and tried to skate again-" "Shawn really?! That would have been the perfect moment to kiss her ! You are such an idiot sometimes."
interrupted me Luc again. I let out a groan, he's right.

I should have just done it. Luc must have noticed my desperate stare because he patted my shoulder and said: "Shawn, you are talking about your feelings for Maggie since the 3rd grade now. You know if you don't tell her how you feel maybe someone else asks her out before you. I know you don't wanna ruin your friendship but there's just one way to find out if she likes you too."

"I knoooow" groaning I let my head fall into my hands. "Anyways the song you wrote for "someone special" is for Maggie, right?" Luc asks already knowing the answer.

I just grin and stand up to walk over to the ice rink. The hockey training started and I thought about what Luc said. I have to tell her or eventually someone else does. But not today. It has to be special.

Lucs POV:

It's just so obvious how in love he is with Maggie . How the hell did she never notice! Like everyone knows besides her. Well, I think Leah doesn't know it either.

Of course I notice how she looks at Shawn all the time or how red her cheeks get when he hugs her. Oh god, please let that not be true. Leah is Maggies best friend and if she likes Shawn, then Maggie would never date him.

She wouldn't hurt her best friend like that. What now ? I have to do something. Maybe if Leah falls in love with someone else, she doesn't have a problem with Shawn and Maggie dating.

That's perfect! My brother, Aiden, is moving here soon and he is single. But I can't interfere in their relationships like that, can I ? I have a feeling this all isn't gonna end well.
