They treat us like outsiders
although it's been a while
everything still seems new.

They treat us like outsiders
where everyday interactions
look like first impressions.

They treat us like outsiders
where the things they did
turned out to be our deeds
even if we have nothing
to do with it.

They treat us like outsiders
where indirectly they show us the exit
but the door's locked;
until they are satisfied,
then we'll be let go
with indescribable pride.
