Zombie Infection

Chapter four

  I could feel my foot slipping but i tried to stay standing, "Sean!" i shouted on more time seeing if he would come, but he didn't and i couldn't hold them back for much longer they were stronger than me after all. I slowly started to fall back feeling the zombies behind me falling along with me, "Katherine!" I heard my name but it wasn't Sean's voice it was someone eles's. I tired grabbing onto the railing but it didn't help. Maybe it was my time to go with all the others maybe even be with my family and loved ones. As i hit the ground feeling a sharp pain in the back of my head i had wish that the pain would be over with soon, but before i closed my eyes i saw him again the one who saved me before...Zack.

   Sean, Kelly!" i cried out i was in a dark room with only one light on, "Sean!" i yelled out one more time to see if would come but then i heard my brother, "Sissy!" he cried out.  i followed his voice leading me farther and father into the dark, "Katherine!' i heard Sean's voice then Zack's voice. I didn't know where i was or who was with me, "Sissy!" he cried as i came to stop there he was laying on the floor his body bitten all over his eye hanging out of his socket, "C...Chris!" I cried as i stumbled down to the floor up as I carrying him. "Katherine!" Zack wasn't far from me, "S...S...S" Chris voice was just a whimper but he was coming back, "CHRIS!" My face grew a smile as his little hand held mine and as he open his eye those big...grey...eyes, "No!!" i cried "Katherine, get back!" Zack yelled as he got me and pulled me back making me drop my brother, "Zack no please you don't understand he's okay!" i cried as i yelled at him but then Sean came along

"Sean, what are you doing...Sean wait...." He shot him right in the head making his body go in a limp, "SEAN NO!" I pushed Zack out of the way running to Chris, "Chris please come back, CHRIS!" I shouted as the tears streamed down my cheek. My heart was broken there was nothing left for me anymore, "I'm sorry Katherine, " Zack said as Sean pointed the gun at me that's when i saw the bit mark Chris bitten me. Before i could say anything Sean pulled the trigger.

I popped up as i had awaken from my dream, "You're up finally," I heard Zack's voice, "How am i alive?" I ask puzzled. The last thing i remember was being surrounded by zombies, "i saved you," Zack said as he grew a smile on his face, "Oh...thank you...again," I said slowly looking at his eyes they were blue like the sky. I got up feeling my head pounding then i remember Sean and Kelly. I got up and ran out of the room to see Kelly and Sean laying in a bedroom asleep, "There okay just tried you been asleep for 3 days anyway we had to keep watch over the house and you," Zack said as if it was my fault a zombie got a hold of me, "Well sorry to keep you three worried... if you even were," i said as i made me way to my room putting my waistband back on and reloading my gun.

  "Where do you think you're going?" Zack asked as i went out the door, "For a walk, is that okay with you," as i turned around Zack pulled me back in making me fall back into his arms, "You can't go outside," He said but it felt as if i was frozen having his eyes looking down into mine his arms holding me...WAIT what was i thinking there was no time for this, "Fine!" I shouted as i pulled myself up and walked back to my room. I didn't care anymore for my life i kept having dreams of my brother dying...i just wanted to find him and see him alive and happy. One thought though ran though my head how did Zack find us, "Katherine!" I heard Sean's voice shout as i got up i saw him running to me along with Kelly, "Sean, Kelly!" I hugged them both as i slowly started to remember my dream.

"Sissy!" Kelly voice cried but i stopped and looked at her the way she said it, it was like my brother use to say it, "Chris..." I said slowly reaching for her was this his way of getting through to me? I looked at her, "Katherine?" i looked at Sean and then Kelly maybe i was going crazy, " I'm sorry guess my head is still pretty messed up from that fall," I looked at Zack who was now standing in the door way, "Sean...." i stopped him before he walked out, "Where were you when i yelled out your name that night?" I asked puzzled as i slowly remember what had really happen, "I was keeping Kelly safe like you wanted me to," He said as he walked away but something told me he was hiding something from me that while i was out there fighting something more happen than what he was telling me.

  The night went by slowly, but around 9:00 p.m it started to rain it was the first since this infestation broke out. As Zack and i sat on the roof taking watching i asked him something that had been on my mind since i woke up, "Zack, how did you find us?" I said as i looked him in the eyes, "I kind of followed you guys.You see after you left i got in my car and followed you," He said looking at me i knew he was telling the truth because unless someone else was watching us there was no way he could of found out but then again i never saw a car behind us, "So that's how you saved me?" "Yeah i wouldn't let you die like that not after all you done for those guys up there especially that little girl," i nodded my head, "i havn't done much though," i said disappointed in myself, "Yeah you have, remember that time at the school when all this started i saw the way you ran to them as those zombies held them i only helped you because i knew you wouldn't make it in time," He said slowly, "So that was you?" "Yup," I looked at him it seemed the more i got to know him the more i started to like him.

   "Zack, how did you find Sean and Kelly after you saved me," i said as i let the rain fall down my face closing my eyes making sure he couldn't see my tears, "Sean was holding her there was a zombie in the room i guess he shot it," I looked up at him Zack was nothing like i seen in school he was more open than i thought he would be. We sat there for hours talking and i had to say he made me laugh something Sean could never do around a time like this. Maybe Zack was different or maybe i just saw him the wrong way because outside of school he was someone i could be friends with., "Zack,Katherine we have a problem," Sean said as he came up to the roof. We followed him to the back of the house where the site froze us all, "Zombies," i said as my heart pounded inside my chest, "Millions of zombies i guess our break is over," Zack said as he got out his gun.
