Tour (part 2) - SM

So I posted the first part a few months ago and here's the second part.

(Y/n)'s pov:

It's been about 4 months since Shawn left for his Illuminate World Tour. He texted me and tried to call me a few times but I didn't answer any of them or look at his text. I stayed off of social media as well. I don't know how to talk to him without breaking into tears.

I love him. I'm afraid that he will not feel the same about me and stop being friends with me. But I have to tell him someday. I have to tell him. He's coming back today.

Shawn's pov:

What is wrong with (y/n)? Ever since I left for my tour, she has been ignoring me. She is my best friend and we tell each other everything.

Exactly a month after I left, I got in a relationship with Andrew's cousin, Emi. She is a model. According to Andrew, if Emi and I start a relationship, it would benefit both of our careers. Before the three of discussed this, I sort of liked Emi. We have a contract where both of us have to stay in this relationship for at least 3 months.

She has short light brown hair and dark brown eyes. She wears a baseball hat backwards all the time.

I wanted to tell (y/n) about Emi but I didn't get the chance to.

I look at my phone lockscreen. It was a picture of (y/n) and I. We were standing near the lakeshore in Toronto. I had my arms wrapped around her waist as I was hugging her from the back and she was smiling while facing me as she held onto my arms.

Whenever people saw that picture of us, they would assume that we are a couple. I didn't think of it then but now I think that maybe I'm falling for her. Kind of sounds cliché, I know. Yeah I am dating Emi but I don't really love her. I mean I used to like her but not anymore.

8:35 pm

Since Emi was already with me, I go to (y/n)'s apartment with her. As soon as we get there, I tell Emi to wait for me outside.

I knock on the door.

(Y/n)'s pov:

As I am facetiming my other best friend, Melissa, I hear a knock on the door.

That's weird. We never have any guests or visitors at this hour. It can't be mom or dad since they are away at a business trip.

"Hey Mel, I'll call you back in a few minutes. Someone is here."

"Okay but just be careful though."

"Okay. Bye!"

I disconnect the call and go over to the door. I open the door slowly. It reveals the person who I was ignoring.

It was Shawn.

"Hey can we talk?"

"Sure." I let him inside the house and close the door.

This is going to be really awkward.

"So . . ." He says as he sits down in the living room.

"What's going on? You haven't even responded to my texts or calls." He continues.

"I'm just going to be honest and tell you, okay? Remember when we saw each for the last time before you left for the tour? And how I had to tell you something?"

"Yeah."

"Well the thing I wanted to say was that--" Once again as I am about tell him, I get interrupted by another knock on the door.

I open the door and see that there is a girl standing. She completely looks past me.

"Baby, what took you so long?" She says. I look back at Shawn.

"I think you should go, Shawn." I say while trying to avoid eye contact with both of them.

"I'm not going anywhere until I get my answers and explain everything to you. Emi, please just go back." The girl leaves. I make my way to where Shawn is sitting.

"So that is Emi, Andrew's cousin. Before you jump to conclusions, we are in a contract relationship and no, I don't love her. In fact, I love you, (y/n)."

"Wait what?"

"Yeah I love you. Look. Staying away from you for this long has made me realize my feelings for you. I don't know if you feel the same but I hope you are not upset."

"Actually I do feel the same. That's what I wanted to tell you but I got interrupted whenever I was going to tell you." I hug him.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes!" He kisses my cheek. "But what about Emi?"

"Like I told you earlier, it's a contract relationship. I have to date her for 3 months and those 3 months are going to be over in 5 days. And you are the only person I love, okay?"

"Okay."
