"When I get like this I can't be around you
I'm too lit to dim down a notch
'Cause I could name some thangs that I'm gon' do "

Wild Thoughts

Janae

It was 7 in the morning and Dave sat on the rim of the tub in my parents house as I threw up my life. I was breaking out into a cold sweat and I was feeling so weak.

Dave ended up packing his stuff and staying over. I had woke up over an hour ago feeling sick. We have been in the bathroom for over 40 minutes, me hurling and drinking water. Dave sat rubbing my back.

"I can't believe this shit" I groaned, annoyed with everything.

"You going to be alright ma"

"Ughhhhh"

"Good morning" my mother smiled as she walked in, bringing me some ginger tea.

"Ma" I started crying.

"It's okay baby" she bent down and rubbed my back.

"Dave you can go catch up on some sleep" my mom turned to Dave.

"I'm okay, I've dealt with this before" he shrugged.

"Well go downstairs and get you something to eat, I got it from here" my mom reassured him.

"You sure? You could go get ready"

"I need to get her ready" my mom laughed.

"True, true" he laughed.

Bending down next to me, as I sat with my eyes closed praying, Dave kissed my temple.

"Love you" he whispered.

I shook my head, I just wanted to be in my own space right about now.

Dave

Walking downstairs, I really wanted to spark one. My ass was running on E, but we had a long day ahead of us. Respecting my surroundings, I walked into the kitchen where Jays father stood making coffee.

"You want some?" He asked as he poured himself some.

"Not a coffee drinker" I shook my head no.

"Do you want some tea?" He asked.

"Nah I'm good" I sat at the island.

"How is she?" He asked about Jay.

"Some days are better than others" I shrugged.

"She's a trooper" he laughed.

"Yeah, first two months she was losing weight, she couldn't hold anything down. And you know as a nurse and all ... she knew the ins and outs about what should and shouldn't be happening."

"Yeah, thats the scary part, knowing too damn much"

"Tell me about it"

"But you seem to have patience" he looked at me.

"Not my first child" I laughed.

"Oh yeah, sorry forgot about that" he took a sip of his coffee.

"But Jay has been sicker than my daughter's mother" I shook my head.

Jamie walked over to the fridge and started taking some stuff out. Handing me a bottle of water.

"Thanks"
