Your POV
After about a day and a half of traveling, the island finally comes into view. I suddenly got a strange feeling. It was like... heat hitting my whole body except it wasn't hot. It was just... different. It got stronger the closer we got to the island. I had no idea what it was. So, I asked Vylad.
"Vylad... I've been getting this weird feeling. I have no idea what it is and it's annoying. I've had it before... But it was never as strong as it is now. Do you know what it is?" I ask.
"Wait, you feel the aura too?" Vylad asks back.
"Is that what it is?"
He nods. "Yeah, but only 'mystical beings' can feel it... Like Shadow Knights or people with magicks. How can you feel it...? Do you have magicks? If you do, why haven't you told me?"
I shook my head. "I don't think I have magicks... I know I'm not a Shadow Knight, though. So, maybe I do have them. What do auras mean, Vylad?"
"They're usually warnings. Like a warning that another 'mystical being' is around, or a warning that something dangerous is approaching. But, sometimes, they mean nothing and it's just magicks in the air," The brunette explains.
"The closer we get to the island, the stronger it gets... do you think the island is dangerous?" I ask.
Vylad shrugs. "It could be, it could not be. I'm leaning towards not be, though. I don't exactly trust Travis and his book," He replies.
"Why don't you trust him?"
Vylad looks at the person steering the ship - Travis. "I get an aura from him as well. It's a bit dark. But, I trust Aphmau, so I let it slide. It still annoys me, though. I want to know what he is."
"He probably just has some type of magicks," I tell him.
"Probably."
We finally arrive at the island. From what I can see from the ship, the island has a big forest, a mountain, and a few exotic trees I've never seen before. I'm guessing they only grow on this island. When I get on the shore I look around at the beautiful scenery, but I can't but help feel uneasy. There's a loud indescribable sound ringing in my ears, and the aura was so powerful if it was a knife, it could cut through rock. It was getting stronger as well.
"We're here," Travis announces. I could sense the uneasiness in his voice.
Aphmau gasps after that, "Do you guys feel that?" She asks. She was talking about the aura.
"Yeah..." I reply.
"It's getting stronger..." Lucinda comments.
"...No..." Travis mutters.
Suddenly, a demon with black skin, purple eyes, and horns appeared floating over water before us. Everyone but Katelyn and Aaron has a surprised reaction. Did the two not see him?
"Ahhh... it's been a long time since I've been back here. It's hardly changed at all," The Demon marvels, looking around.
"YOU!" Travis screams at him.
"THIS CAN'T BE!" Lucinda exclaims.
"Travis, Travis I killed him! What is happening?! Is this your book?!" Aphmau asks.
