Like many fans, I was a little less than pleased how HIMYM ended. Here is my idea of how the final monologue should have gone.

"Kids, life is a rollercoaster. I went through hell to get to your mother, but every second was worth it. Every heart ache, every bad decision, every awkward early 'I love you' was worth it. When I met your mother, I knew she was the one. She is my reason to wake up every morning, and she gave me the two greatest gifts in the world: you guys. Everything was worth it, because in the end, it was all part of how I met your mother."
