5: What is going on?

Marco Pov
I smiled as I waved back at Star, I didn't get why people thought she was weird? She's pretty cool and her life doesn't seem all happy or whatnot "Morning Diaz" I look up and noticed Janna as she took a bite of a banana "Hey, what's up?" She shrugs

"Nothing, what's up with you and weird girl?" "She's not weird, also nothing is up we're just friends anyways" she giggles and scoffs "Please, the way she's looking at you seems like she wants to be with you" I raised a  brow "No, don't start with your weird and ridiculous ideas because it's not gonna happen"

she rolled her eyes "Well don't make her fall for you, seeing you got a pair of envious eyes" she hisses at me and leaves laughing and I shake my head "Envious eyes? What does that mean?" As I went to take a bite Jackie popped by me scaring me a bit "Hey!"

"Ah! Hey! Jackie you scared me there" she giggles and sits down "So, today we are paired for canoes and I wanted to let you know" she was holding my arms and blushing slightly "Okay..I thought I had paired canoes with Star?" She sighs and puts a smile

"Not today, you see star has a couple kids that can go out because they have fears of drowning" I gasp a bit "Really?" She nods "Also, star has bad poison ivy" I gave her a look "Are you sure?" "Yeah I hope you didn't touch her"

Jackie ran her fingers through my hair and walked away and my gaze focused on Star who was smiling brightly and waved at me. I smile a bit but lowered my head, I noticed the way her face changed in a matter of seconds.

As my group finished Star walked towards me and I freeze "Hey, ready for the canoes?" I looked at her but she looked fine and there was nothing wrong with her, maybe I should ask her "Hey star, you didnt run into posion oak right?" She shakes her head

"No, I was with you all night? Did someone say I did?" Did Jackie lie to me? "Yeah but, it's not important, I'm ready for the canoe" she nods slowly and smiles a bit "Okay let me get the girls" I nod and head towards the lake and assign groups to the boats

"Alright, Mason you might have to group up with someone" "Its fine I can-" I heard a squeal "He can be my partner!" Camilla said quickly looking at mason "Okay, Star you'll be with me" "Cool beans" as we helped put life persevers  I noticed Star look a bit more cuter than usual

"Alright is everyone ready?" We received nods and we headed out to the water as we got on I noticed Star had a shirt that rises a bit on her back. I blushed and looked away but she had like a small tattoo? Maybe or it could be a birthmark? "Where are we going?"

I look up and see Star looking over me "Oh! Uh we are going left" she nods and giggles "You okay Marco? You're acting weird?" I chuckled "Yeah I'm fine it's just I'm thinking" it was peaceful as we down a calm canal "Marco can I ask you something?" I nodded

"It feels like everyone doesn't like me back at the camp cause I'm not from here" she sighs as she placed the oar on her lap "Am I weird?" I smirk "No, you're pretty cool Star it's just gonna take some time" she nods and her head lowers "Star? You okay?" She groans and whines

"My stomach...it feels weird" as I reach for her she leans over the canoe and starts puke causing some of the kids to yell and scream "Get on shore! All of you!" The kids listen and I hold her shoulders "You were fine, what happened?" "I'm not sure..uh"

she vomits again and I look at the kid's as they pull their canoes on the shore as I get us close enough "Okay Star, some on" as she was going to grab my hand she fell back and into the lake "Star!" I jumped into the water and pulled her to the shore as the kids surrounded us "Is she okay?!"

"Oh my god!" The kids were frighten until I heard whistles and heavy footsteps. As i moved her hair from her pale face my cousins took her and my uncle came towards me "Marco, what happened?"

"I don't know? She was doing just fine she got sick and passed out" he held my shoulder "Hey, she's safe and you handled it the best you could" he left and I was left with her kids "Counselor Marco?" "Yes" "What now?" "Arts and crafts"

the kids nod and start heading to the cabin. What happened? "Hey diaz" I rolled my eyes at Janna "What is it? Come to warn me again?" "I could, but what's the fun in that? I did tell you about envious eyes..later" she took off and I decided to go check on Star.

As i got to the medical bay star was laying back with a towel on her forehead and a bucket beside her just in case "How is she?" I asked Eva "She's okay, she ate something that is rejecting her body" as I was going to speak I head Star puking into the bucket

"Let me know when she's well" she nods "Will do" I looked at her one last time and took off. What the heck is going on? This is weird and kinda freaky.
