Conch Shell

So, I have completed another thing on my band nerd bucket list! Getting a note out of a conch shell!
So, last summer, I was visiting my grandma's house (she lives like 5 states away, so I only see her once a year), and on the last day we were there she got her conch shell out. Her and my sister blew into it but I couldn't get a note out. This was the summer before I started band.
  Well, a couple of weeks ago, I was talking on the phone with my sister and she brought up the conch shell thing from last summer. Well, she was wondering now that I was in band if my embouchure would allow me to get a note out of the shell. I was determined to try it.
  Well, I stepped out on the porch after lunch and....I played it! I was so happy! It echoed off the nearby mountain. I even managed to change the note a little bit.
  So, I have once again fulfilled a weird thing on my band nerd bucket list!
