"Just some apple juice for really, but we eat the same thing"
"Okay coming up!" She turned on her heels.
I hadn't really thought out how I was going to feed myself and Kaiya. When the waitress came back with the juice I stopped her.
"Aye, can I ask for a favor?"
"Uh, sure" she was a little hesitant.
"I fucked up my right hand which is the hand I write with, do you mind feeding my baby girl for me while I try to eat" I chuckled.
"Oh yes, sure! When you're food comes out I'll be right back"
"Thank you"
My food came out and the waitress took a seat.
"I'm Dave and this is Kaiya" I smiled at Kai.
"Julie" the waitress smiled at me.
"So what does she eat?" She took a small plate.
"Everything except the meat, she loves the chofan" I laughed a little.
"Okay, I'll start with that. She's just too cute"
"Thank you she gets her looks from me" I struggled to eat a little.
"If you don't mind me asking, uh what happened to your hand?"
"It's a long dumb story, but I punched the mirror in my bathroom and it didn't end well"
"Ouch! That's had to hurt"
"Oh yeah, yesterday my shit was on fire"
"What would make you do something like that?"
"His girlfriend" we both turned our direction to the voice that spoke behind me.
Standing behind me was Janae and Shanice.
"Uh, I'm just helping to feed his daughter" Julie got a little nervous.
"You good Julie" I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, you're fine" Janae fake smiled.
"What's up?" I looked up to her.
"Nothing, came to pick up food and head home, we got exams" she pointed to Shanice.
"Hi Shanice"
"Hey Dave" she waved, turning her attention to Kaiya.
"Whose you friend?" Jay pointed to Julie who kept feeding Kaiya.
"She's a waitress here, she's helping me feed Kaiya... see how easy it is to speak the truth the first time a question is asked" I rolled my eyes.
"You are well within you right to be in your bag, but you know it was a prank"
"Was it?" I cocked my head to the side, I just wanted to fuck with her.
