Ye Gui Feng, ???, rank 2,051, trial five.

"..."

The sight of what just happened makes everyone silent.

"Ah!"

Tossed into the fifth trial grounds Ye Gui Feng screams as he falls onto the starting lines.

"Dammit they're so stingy... I didn't break any of the rules."

Standing back up in pain Ye Gui Feng senses that his 24th level of Qi Condensation is approaching the breakthrough point making him extremely bitter.

Raising his head Ye Gui Feng sees the fifth trial grounds clearly. It is a massive hall of blood.

"Uh? What is up with all this?"

Ye Gui Feng tilts his head at the eeriness of this sight.

The walls flow with endless blood and the grounds of the hall is a deep pool of blood. From the ceiling blood rains down.

"It's over. This is as far as he can get."

Yao Nie Tian sighs. From the fifth trial grounds onwards only the legitimate bloodlines of the Yao family may proceed.

It didn't matter if Ye Gui Feng has a powerful Ghostly Spirit Body or a Heavenly Demon physique. If he doesn't have the Yao family's bloodline flowing in his veins then he can't continue onwards.

This trial is used mainly to test out the density of one's family bloodline so it is not something that outsiders of the family will be able to take part in.

"Hm?"

A cold and ancient voice speaks.

"Members of the Yao family alone?"

Blinking his eyes Ye Gui Feng realizes that he will not be able to step onto the final floor of the archives.

"Is there really no way to advance further?"

Ye Gui Feng sighs as he reluctantly turns to leave.

Upon Ye Gui Feng emerging outside of the trial gates everyone looks towards him with eyes of awe, envy, and various other mix of emotions.

Ye Gui Feng turns around to see his own rank at 2,051 to which he sighs upon seeing.

"2,051... This means that I can access the second level of the archives but... To access the third level I need to be within the top 100s. But to get to the top 100s I need to be a legitimate member of the Yao family."

Ye Gui Feng shakes his head as he moves through the crowd with a frown. His expression tells them that he isn't satisfied and unwilling to remain at his current rank.

The eyes of many who see this can't help but feel a sense of respect towards Ye Gui Feng.

Returning back to sit within his Immortal Cave Ye Gui Feng continues to have the same look of dissatisfaction.

Ye Gui Feng can understand why the resources of the third floor are meant for only the clansmen of the Yao family alone as it is probably a family guarded secret.

"This isn't fair. It's so not fair. Doesn't this just mean that even if I work hard I won't ever be able to find out what's on the third level of the archive?"

Despite being able to access the second floor now Ye Gui Feng wasn't in the mood to do so.
