"Can I kiss you?" Asked Jian Yi catching you off guard. The pencil in your hand ceased to move as you cautiously looked at him from across the table you both were seated at. A teasing smile was etched on his face behind his crossed arms.

"Why do you look so surprised?" He teased further causing you to blush lightly. "You know I like you, right?" You looked down and nodded in acknowledgment. Of course you knew he liked you, you've known for the longest time. Though asking if he could kiss you while you both, well mainly you, studied at the library was embarrassing enough. Even if you both chose a table that was far enough away from the public eye you couldn't help but feel nervous at the thought of someone seeing you both.

He sighed and made his way to the seat next to yours, facing you.

"You know, I've been thinking on how to ask you but I couldn't find a way to. So, I just asked. What do you say then, (Y/n)?" You turned to him catching sight of his mischievous smile. He rested his head on his palm his gaze fixated on you.

He couldn't help it, to him you were the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. Your carefree and outgoing attitude could get you both in a heap of trouble but even then he didn't careless as long as it was with you.

And as he waited for your answer he remained smiling anxiously waiting for your response. Putting down your pencil you turned to him the pink tint from before never leaving your cheeks. You had to admit you've also liked him for the longest time the thing was you'd never thought he'd actually return your feelings so when you found out he liked you. Well, let's juts say everytime he was even remotely around or would speak to you it always made you flustered and giddy inside.

Finally mustering up the courage you nodded your head in compliance. Jian Yi's eyes went wide for a second as he processed your reply before letting a big grin adorn his tinted cheeks. He slowly leaned into you, you swallowed nervously closing your eyes waiting for his lips to connect with yours.

Only you didn't feel his lips stop on yours. You opened your eyes in confusion, catching him gazing at you tenderly. He lifted his hand up to your cheek cradling it gently, his cheeks were dusted in a darker shade of pink. The sight of him looking so cute and vulnerable made your heart beat faster in your chest untill you couldn't take it anymore.

Leaning forward you closed the gap between you both catching him off guard. His lips were still beneath yours making you nervous but soon you relaxed when his lips moved in sync with yours.

He was the first to pull away, he chuckled breathlessly, you looked away in embarrassment as you gnawed on your lip.

"Who knew you'd be so straight forward, (Y/n)." He teased, grabbing your chin to looks at him. You swatted his hand away annoyed with his new found behavior.

"Shut up you idiot." You retorted, taking his nose between your index and middle finger and squeezing it slightly causing him to wince and grab your wrist. He closed his eyes in pain.

"Ow! (Y/n), please let go!" You sighed but finally complied squeezing it one last time before letting his nose go. He cupped his red nose, looking at you with watery eyes and a childish pout prominent on his face. "So mean." He mumbled. You couldn't help but chuckle taking his hands you kissed his cherry red nose.

"Better?" You asked, making him nod eagerly in response.
