Chapter 33

Natalie POV

Working at the diner has gotten a little easier I don't drop as much stuff anymore.

As I walk downstairs to the kitchen no ones home but my brother.

"Good morning" I tell him

"Morning" he says as he eats a donut and I'm glad Rose isn't here to see this because she wouldn't hesitate to make a joke right now

"You know mom would have a fit if she knew you were eating sugar" I smirk

"I'm a grown man" he say taking a big bite of his donut but in the process, powdered sugar falls off of the donut and onto his shirt "o no" he says looking down

"See you later" I laugh and leave

I drive to roses house and honk

She hops into the passenger seat.

"How's work?" She asks me

"Good you should know your there almost everyday" I laugh

"I'm a supportive friend" she laughs "still don't know how you work with my brother"

"He's not that bad" I roll my eyes "so how's the driving lesson going with Ben?"

"Well usually one of us ends up crying" she shrugs

"Sounds right" I nod remembering the time I tried to teach Rose how to drive "so about the checklist I think I'm ready to start an after school activity" I tell her

"How are you going to have time?" She asks me

"Your brother works at the diner and is quarter  back of the football team" I say a little impressed

"I guess so he told me there's a game next Friday so there's another thing to check off" she says

"What about you have you decided what your going to do next since getting your license is going to take awhile?" I ask her as I turn left

"I was thinking maybe get my fake id" she says laughing

"Who are going to get to do that?" I don't know how she's going to find someone

"Well I know a guy" she smirks

"Who?" I say and then I realize who in the whole school would know how to do that

"Josh" we say at the same time

"Have fun with that" I tell her as we pull up at school

I go to my classes and stop once again at the bulliten board.

"Back again?" Sara asks me with a smirk

"I'm trying to think of an after school activity to do" I say biting my lip

"Well I heard the cheerleadering squad is looking for someone" she says

"I don't know" I say since I'm not flexible  and can't even dance

"Well I think they just need someone since they are required to have a certain amount of people on the team"

"Okay" I say thinking about actually giving it a shot

After lunch I walk over to heathers locker where she's getting a book out.

"Hi" I great her

She looks at me like she's trying to think of who is am. "I'm Natalie" I tell her but still it look like she still has no idea who i am "Rose best friend who's Holden twin sister" I say maybe hopping she would sort of reconize me because well we have been going to school together since kindergarten

"O yeah roses sidekick" she says with a laugh

I try not to act hurt by that comment "um anyway I heard that there's an opening on the cheerleading squad and I was hoping to try out" I say and wait for her response

She looks at me and it's like she's waiting for me to say I'm kidding "wait your serious?" She tilts her head

"Yeah I am" I awkwardly laugh

She turns her back to me and starts looking for something in her locker I don't know if this is my Que to leave or not.

"Fine practice starts Wednesday" she says with a smirk

"Really thank you so much I won't let you down" I smiling so hard that it hurts

"Yeah I got to go" she says and takes off

"Yes" I squeal
