Today's the day. The day I've been dreading and excited for, I just want this year to be different I want to actually enjoy high school and make lifelong memories before I have to go to college and grow up.

I sit up and look at my phone.

Natalie: Starbucks?

Me: always!!!!

I smile at my phone and then put it away.

I jump in the shower and then I go to my closet and grab a outfit I bought yesterday.

I'm not really used to wearing skirts but I just thought it was too cute and something so unlike what I would usually wear

I'm not really used to wearing skirts but I just thought it was too cute and something so unlike what I would usually wear.

I go into the bathroom and do my makeup and curl my hair.

I can't help but stare at myself I actually look good, all throughout high school I never really bothered making myself look good not really caring but not this year.

I hear the doorbell and start walking downstairs already knowing its Natalie.

I open the door to see its Natalie holding a carton full of Starbucks.

"I come bringing coffee" she smiles

"This is why I love you" I smile back and let her in

We walk into the kitchen where my mom and my brother are.

"I got everyone drinks" Natalie tells them

"You didn't have to do that" my mother shakes her head but her eyes are staring down the hot tea

"No I insist" she says handing my mother her hot tea

"Thank you" my mother says as she takes a huge gulp

"You still like mocha frappes?" Natalie asks Holden

"Yeah thanks your awesome" he smiles as she hands him his drink

I grab my frappe and take a sip.

"Okay you guys better get going I don't want you to be late" my mom tells us

"See you guys there" my brother waves us goodbye

Me and Natalie jump in her car.

"So is the outfit too much?" I ask nervously feeling out of my comfort zone

"No you look awesome" she smiles "do I look alright?" She asks

She's wearing a sweater we bought at the mall paired with a skirt I made her get.

"You look amazing" I compliment

"Thanks I wish this skirt was longer though" she mutters as she turns left

"Can you believe today is our first day of senior year" I giggle kind of excited

"I know time does go by fast" she shakes her head

"That's why we are going to make this year count" I say

"Yes" she agrees and pulls up in the schools parking lot

We sit there a moment not moving.

"You ready?" She asks me

"Let's go" I say and open my door
