My eyes snapped open at the sound of my phone ringing

My eyes snapped open at the sound of my phone ringing. I was fast asleep after the long day I've had. Veronica hasn't talked to me all day and I haven't been able to face the outside world. Who the hell would be calling me at this hour? I don't really have any friends at the moment.

"Hello?" I answered half asleep.

"Vi? I'm at Pops, how far away is your apartment building from here?" Archie rushed out.

"Archie, it's two am, what are you doing up?" I gasped, sitting up.

"How far Violet?" He demanded.

"Ten minutes, it's a large grey building and across from a small bar. I'm on the third floor apartment number nine." I described.

"I'll be there any minute, go to your front door." Archie told me before hanging up.

I slowly got out of my warm, inviting bed and three on a pair of fluffy socks. Letting out another loud yawn, I walked to the front door and opened it just in time to find a shirtless Archie panting.

"What's going on Arch?" I groaned as I walked towards the couch and flopped down on it. "Also why are you practically naked?"

"I could ask you the same." He chuckled looking me up and down.

I looked down at my pyjamas, an oversized sweater, black lacy underwear and fluffy sock. Maybe I should have put more clothes on before he arrived. "In my defence I was asleep only ten minutes ago." I defended lack of clothes.

"Sorry I didn't dress up for you at two am." I snapped, grouchy from being woken up.

"Im sorry." He apologies, while staring down at me with his gorgeous hazel eyes.

"What are you doing here Arch?" I direct us back to the surprise visit.

"I haven't been able to focus after discovering what really happened to Jason Blossom." Archie admitted as he lifted my legs and sat on the couch.

"I get what you mean, it's scary knowing there's a murderer living among us." I whispered.

"Vi, if you knew something that is very important and could help someone, but it would also hurt someone if you told the truth, would you still tell?" Archie asks.

"Depends what it is Arch, if you think telling is the right thing for you, then you should." I told him. "Is everything okay?" I questioned, worried.

"Yeah it's fine." He lied. "How's everything with you and Veronica?"

"We haven't talked since last night at the party. I really fucked up Arch." I sighed moving closer to him.

"We both did Vi but everything will be okay again soon." He promised as he pulled me into his arms.
