More poems I guess

Start from the beginning

The speaker of her phone

Good advice she thought

Her dreams definitely

Broke her heart

More than once

Her dream of becoming

A writer an author

To be something with

Purpose

Except she wasn't

That girl was just

A random person -unicorn

Who lived in Minnesota

Just like anyone else

She loved to believe

That maybe she

Could do something

Important with her life

But deep down she

Knew it was always

Just going to be

A dream

It broke her heart

So she left

It and decided to

Be like everyone else

Human

4.

Abandonment

Everyone leaves

They leave

With or without warning

Packing up everything

And going on

To do something else

Hopefully something better

Sometimes it's

Okay to let go

Of these people

If they cared

Then maybe they

Would have stayed

Maybe if they stayed

You wouldn't

Feel so lonely

Still you put on

A strong face

And hide the true emotions

They left you behind

Forget them

You don't need them

But still

Letting go of the past

Is difficult

It's like a

Rope tied to your wrist

Pulling you back

Just let go

5.

Tired

Always tired

Never enough sleep

Just laying on the mattress

Thinking of

The good and the bad

Finally sleep consumes me

Waking up early

Too early

Need more sleep

Can't get the sleep

I crave

Thoughts bouncing

Up and down

Side to side

Everywhere they go

I listen and hear

The past the present the future

The good and bad

No bad

Leave the bad thinking

Out

Please

No more thinking

Just need sleep

6.

a nickname

That haunts her past

She wishes to forget

Still it sits in the back

Of her head

Creeping out in the

Darkest moments

Taunting her

The past her and she wishes

For it to stop

Yet it never does

It screams at her

Whenever she talks

And embarrasses herself

A whisper of a ghost

In her ear

Gone

She wants it gone

Just like her past

Everyone there has left her

No more

Hurt

She thinks sometimes

Why can't I let the past go

It's not here anymore

Focus on the now

Still she can't

The name she can't seem to forget

Lingers

Although she doubts

Anyone remembers it

She does

She doesn't want to

So she uses distractions

They may work

But almost never do

Just to forget a name

No one calls her

Anymore

Maybe

It's not the name she wants to forget

Rather the boy

Who called her it

Or the annoying sibling she lives with

Maybe
