I grabbed the note and shoved it under my pillow. The clock read 2.46, and I groaned, flopping back down.

"What?" BEN asked groggily, and I giggled.

"Morning. Did I wake you up?" I asked, staring into black pits he had for eyes. BEN shook his head.

"Yes, Luce. You did. I forgive you, though."

I smiled and kissed the tip of his nose. Even in the dark, I could see his cheeks turning red.

"BEN... I need to tell you something..."

He looked at me, concerned. I turned on the light, and sighed.

"I had a nightmare... Jack... He wants me to go out with him, and he said if I didn't, he... he... would give me to Jeff."

BEN clenched his fists, and his face flushed red, probably with anger.

"I'll kill Eyeless Jack. I swear to God I will."

"No! Please don't! It's not worth it. It's just a dream."

"No, it's not. It's different. It's a threat. A warning. Don't worry. I'm going to protect you until the ends of the earth if I have too."

I blushed, and looked down. "Why?"

"Because I love you."
