"Can I get a ride then? since you coming to my house anyways? I do not feel like walking." Kayla said as we walked out of the school's double doors.
"Duh Kayla." I said looking around for ray's car.
It was weird because he wasn't here yet and he would usually already be parked out here.
"Where the hell is he anyways?" I groaned.
"Maybe he's just an little late."
We stood in front of the school and waited for him.
But 5 minutes turned into 15 minutes and 15 minutes turned into 45 minutes.
Soon the campus was nearly clear.
"The fuck?" I said looking around. "he should be here by now."
Kayla handed me her iPhone. "here, call him."
I took it and dialed his number waiting for him to answer.
"Hello?" he spoke through the phone.
"Ray ray! where are you?!" I yelled.
"I'm sorry Ramya I'm right around the corner-"
I hung up the phone in his face before he could finish.
"Got us waiting out here and shit." I groaned in frustration.
"Calm your tits Ramya damn." Kayla laughed.
I glared at her. "its not funny."
"She looked over my shoulder. "is that him?"
I looked in the direction she was looking and saw ray's car approaching us.
"Finally!" I sighed in relief.
Ray pulled up beside the curb and me and Kayla hopped in backseat.
Ray's friend Justin was in the front seat.
"What's up LIL girl." he said.
I ignored him and looked at ray.
"What took you so long!?" I yelled.
He looked back at me and his eyes were unusually red and saggy.
That's when I noticed the weird smell in the car.
"I'm sorry I had to handle something." he said.
I frowned at him. "are you ok?"
"Yeah! I'm cool. why?"
"Your eyes are red as hell. and that smell?"
Justin looked back at me and smirked. "LIL girl you might not know, but we high as fuck!" He said and started laughing.
I looked at Kayla and she looked surprised.
"Ray you smoke!"
He humped his shoulders. "a little bit. it's nothing."
I huffed and shook my head as he pulled off.

We pulled up in front of Kayla's house and I quickly got out with Kayla following.
I didn't know ray smoked. Is that what he meant by "grown man business" ?
That stuff can mess up his lungs and he's only 17.
