Chapter 17: Jasmine

---Chapter 17---

Jasmine's Pov

          I arrived a few hours ago and watched as monsters of all sorts came marching up to the cave where my mother was to rise. While I was waiting, I thought about what I had to do. A tears rolled down as I thought of my plan, over and over again in my head. I have to do this, I thought. No matter what happens, I just have to prevail, or all will be lost. I looked up and quickly whipped away the tears that started forming in my eyes. Suddenly, a Cyclopes stopped and looked down the mountain. His one eye grew larger as he looked at me.

          "Intruders! Demi-gods! Eight of them, down there!" he yelled, pointing his over-sized finger down below. I rushed over and found eight demi-gods camoing below us, one snoring so loudly and moving around. Those are the seven, I thought with a gasp. Percy, Annabeth, Piper Jason, Hazel, Frank, and Leo. And the eighth... My heart stopped when I spotted the eighth demi-god looking up at the Cyclopes that found him.

          "Nico," I whipered.

          "Jasmine? J-Jasmine!" Nico lightened up as soon as he saw me. At first, I was so happy that Nico came here for me. But then, i remembered that it was only to stop me. Soon, anger and irritation flushed through me. Why did he come?! Isn't he happy with Drew?? He'll mess this whole plan up!!!! I thought. I was about to yell at Nico to leave when the rest of the seven were beginning to wake up, Leo being the first.

          "How long was I- Oh my gods! Everyone, wake up!" yelled Leo as soon as he realized that monsters were surrounding them.

          The seven shot up, weapons at the ready, but the monsters had already been prepared and tied them up, taking their weapons. Even Nico was tied amongs the group, although the monsters know that I loved him. But not anymore, I thought, closing my eyes to my irritaion. I was lying to myself. I still love him, and I doubt that will change any time soon. But he broke my heart... The group of eight were tied against a tree, all positioned so that they would be able to see the cave clearly, Nico being amongst those closer to the cave.

          "Jasmine! Help us! Please!" cried out Nico. I turned away.

          "Aren't you satisfied with Drew? You two are so happy together," I said bitterly.

          "What? Drew? Where'd you get that from? What in my father's name are you talking about?!" asked Nico, confused. I looked at him with concern now. How does he not remember?! I thought.         

          "Nico, stop lying! I saw it with my own eyes, your little kiss! Don't act like you don't remember!" I yelled, irritated. 

          "Jasmine, I have no idea what you're talking about! Drew and I never kissed, not once!"

          "Just shut up, Nico! You liar! You broke my heart!!!" I screamed, sobbing. Nico tried to say that he did nothing, but I kept yelling out that he was a liar. "I've had enough!" I screamed and stormed towards Nico. Without thinking, I slapped him so hard that my own hand stung with pain. Everyone stared at me, the seven demi-gods, the monsters stopped what they were doing, and Nico was very much taken back. Even I was shocked at what I had done. "I-I-" I stuttered, but never finished because the same Cyclopes walked over to us and walked me to the cave.

          "Are you alright, daughter of Gaea?" he asked. I nodded and stared at my hands, too shocked to speak. I can't believe that I hurt him. Why did I? I thought. I heard the seven demi-gods asking Nico if he was alright.

          "Nico! Are you ok? There's a huge mark on your face!" squealed Hazel. I watched her try to free her arm to help Nico, but to no prevail.

          "Dude, are you ok? Nico, oh my gods, you're bleeding," I heard Percy say. I looked at Nico and found the mark that I had left on his face. He was bleeding. I couldn't bare to see Nico in that state so I looked in my backpack and got out a white cloth. I poured water over it and walked towards Nico. Percy, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Annabeth, Piper, and Leo all went quiet. I dabbed Nico cheek, trying to clean it. 

          "I-I'm sorry," I whispered after finishing. I walked towards the cave when I heard Nico say something.

          "It's ok. I'll still love you, forever and always." I closed my eyes to stop the tears that were at the verge of escaping. But- I thought- I- He, I thought in my head. Confusion struck me. While I was caught up in the moment, Leo was able to free the eight of them and Jason charged at a hell-hound. Leo threw fire balls at Nemean Lions, Hazel formed a wall of stone around her, Percy controlled the water and splashed monsters, Frank turned into various animals and attacked, chaos arrived at Mount Tam. Monsters were defeated everywhere, and Nico was no where to be found. Suddenly, I felt someone clasp their hand over my mouth and dragged me to the side of the mountain, away from everyone else. I bit the hand out of desperation to escape.

          "Ow! Gosh, Jazzy, you bite hard!" said a familiar voice. I turned around and found Nico rubbing his hand.

          "N-Nico," I whispered. At first, I was happy that he was trying to save me. But, I remembered Drew. "Nico," I said through my gritting teeth. "What are you doing here?!"

          "Isn't it obvious? We're trying to help you! Come on! I'll get the seven and- " I cut Nico off.

          "Go back, Nico, and bring everyone else with you. I don't need you're help. Just leave," I said, anger flooding into me. "Now." Nico stared at me, bewildered.

          "B-But Jazzy, Gaea's just going to use you! She needs you're powers to fully rise! Don't you see?! She's using you!" yelled Nico.

          "Just shut up! You don't know her, not one bit! So leave, and don't you dare say anything like that about my mother again," I said the last part so deadly that even I was taken back. 

          "Jazzy- I didn't mean it that way, I-"

          "Just go, please," I said, a tear rolling down my cheek. Nico wiped it away. "Nico, you're just going to get hurt. I have to do this. I'm sorry."

          "What are you talking about? Jasmine, what are you going to do? Look at me," said Nico softly, pulling my face up so that I was looking him in the eyes.

          "I-I can't tell you. Nico, just, please. I don't want you to get hurt. Go before anything bad happens to you. Please," I begged, tears forming in my eyes. Nico shook his head.

          He looked behind me and his eyes grew large. I turned around and saw the battle stop, the demi-gods wounded and monster dust everywhere. But what caught my eye wasn't them. It was the cave.

Cliffhanger!!! You will soon find out what Jasmine's little plan is... Haha... Soooo what you think????? Is the cliffhanger good????? What will happen next?????? Did Gaea rise while the rest were fighting??????  What is Jasmine's plan?????? What will Nico do?????? Are Drew and Nico really dating????? (Well, no, they aren't, Gaea did that.) What will happen with Jasmine and Nico??????? When will I stop asking these questions???????? (Right now) Kayy so you know what to do ;D
