Chapter 13: Jasmine

---Chapter 13---

Jasmine's Pov

          I walked ahead of Nico as we arrived at our archery class. He tried to talk to me, but I sprinted into the woods, attempting to get away from him. But, of course, Nico shadow-traveled behind me when I wasn't looking and pinned my wrists against a tree. "Let me go!" I yelled at his face.

          "Not until you talk to me. What in Hades is going on with you? You haven't been yourself at all today. And don't tell me that it's nothing, because I could see in your eyes that it's something," Nico said, studying my eyes.

          "Look, it's none of your business, ok? Just let me go before we're late for class," I said, trying to escape from Nico's grip. But he was too strong and pushed himself on me. I struggled, trying to get out of Nico's grip. No use. "Fine, but if I tell you promise on the River Stynx that you won't tell anyone, got it?" Nico nodded. He was so close that I could feel him breathing on me. "Well, are you going to promise or not?" I asked, irritated.

          "Right," Nico said. "I swear on the River Stynx that I won't tell anyone any detail of what you're about to tell me."

          I nodded, and began. "I had a dream about my mm last night. She wanted me to join her, and she offered something really tempting to me. Mama said, 'When I arise, would you like Nico to stay with us?' I told her yes, but I never actually promised to join with her. We kind of had an argument about you, and she said that I can't be with you anymore," I whispered the last part. I looked down, trying to avoid Nico's eyes. "And now, she told me to pack my belongings and she would guide me from there. I tried protesting, but-" Nico cut me off with a kiss. I kissed him back, adding all the sorrow that I had tried to hold in.

          "Please don't leave me," he whispered as he pulled away. My eyes started to sting with tears.

          "Nico, I don't want to leave you, but if I don't, my mother will-" Nico, again cut me off.

          "She can kill me, for all I care. I just want to be with you, I wouldn't be able to survive if you ran away," he told me, leaning his head against mine. 

          "Nico," I whispered. "I'm sorry, I'll miss you, but I wouldn't be able to survive if you died, especially if the reason is my mom."       

          "No. Jasmine, please, don't leave me," Nico said, sorrow filling his voice. I shook me head, tears streaming down. Nico pushed his lips against mine, not wanting to let go. I kissed him back, wanting all this to go away so we could be together. He started pushing me harder against the tree that I was leaning against.

          "Nico," I moaned. It now turned into a make-out session. Nico kissed me harder, his hand making their way up my shirt. I wrapped my legs around his waist as Nico's grip got tighter around mine. As we kissed, tears stung my eyes. I couldn't help but add all the sorrow waiting to escape. I couldn't leave Nico, it would break his heart. I can't do this to him. But my mother is forcing me to go with her, to wait for her. The only thing she never mentioned was joining her. What do I do when I need to make that decision? Will I join Mama, or save the rest of the world?

          Suddenly, the ground started to shake. Kristina, pack your belongings, dear. It is time. Mama, I thought. I pulled away from Nico and he stared deeply into my eyes.

          "I-I'm sorry, Nico. I'll miss you.  I swear on the River Stynx that I will never forget you," I whispered the last part, tears starting to stream down again.

          "No, Jasmine. Gaea's the bad one here! She's been trying to take control over Mount Olympus for a while and has killed too many people in the process. You can't join her! Please, Jasmine!" cried Nico. I shook my head and headed towards Nico's cabin. I walked in and got my backpack that held all my stuff. "No, Jasmine!" Nico yelled as he ran after me. I started to run towards Thalia's Tree, but Nico caught up to me and wrapped his arms around me.

          "Nico, let go!" I screamed, crying.

          "No! You aren't leaving until you tell me why you're going with Gaea!" he yelled, tears stinging his eyes, too. I stared at him, shocked. "See, you don't even have a reason so why should you go with that retched, old, witch-"

          "BECAUSE SHE'S MY MOM, NICO!" I screamed at his face. "I can't just leave her. It's the right choice, believe me. I know what I'm doing," I told him, trying to calm down but to no prevail.

          "But she's Gaea! She's-"

          "My mom. She might be the enemy, but I still love her," I snapped at Nico, starting my way up the hill. This time Nico didn't go after me. I looked back to find Nico silently sobbing, down on his knees. I couln't help but sob, myself. "Nico, I know what I'm doing. I'm sorry," I whispered. Nico looked up and ran to me. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a hug. I hugged him back, crying into his shirt.

          "Be safe, Jazzy," Nico whispered, chuckling and sobbing. I smiled at my nick-name.

          "You too, Death Boy," I whispered back. Nico chuckled softly and I pulled away just enough so that our faces were inches away. "I love you, Nico."

          "I love you too, Jasmine," he said before our lips touched, sharing our last kiss. I pulled away after a minute and walked out of Camp Half-Blood, waiting for my mother's voice to guide me to where she would arise.

Chapter 13! Sorry I didn't update in a day :P I was busy... Anyway, whatcha think??? Now, Jasmine's on her way to find Gaea. Let's see how Nico will take it. Will he tell Chiron about Jasmine's mother?? Will he tell everyone that Gaea is rising again?? Will Nico follow Jasmine with help from the seven?? Will I shut up and finish this story?? Yeah, I'll shut up...
