Chapter 9: Jasmine

---Chapter 9---

Jasmine's Pov

          I walked out of Nico's cabin and headed towards the arena, bored. I passed by a few Apollo campers. One of the guys came up to me holding his bow and arrow, smirking.

          "Hey, you're new, right? Want to give it a try?" he asked, gesturing towards the targets.

          "Sure," I said. The son of Apollo gave me a bow and arrow, but I took the bow and grabbed three arrows. I threw three apples in the air and drew the bow and arrows. Without aiming, I shot them all at once. I smirked, because as I expected, the apples hit three target with my three arrows each in one apple, every arrow hitting the bulls-eye. I handed the son of Apollo back him bow and walked away, laughing at his priceless face.

           I smiled and walked to the cabins, passing the Ares cabin. I saw Clarisse through the window, glaring at me. I kept walking, this time picking up the pace. Nico warned me about the Ares kids, especially Clarisse.

          I walked into the forest, finding the bunch of boulders Nico and I sat on the other day. From an angle, it looked like Zues's fist. I sat on the boulders and thought about what had happened the last few days. I arrive at Camp Half-Blood. Nico and I become a couple, kind of. I told Nico who my godly part is, I thought. What will Mama think? I hope she won't get mad...

          I heard my mom talking to me again. My dear Kristina, it was your decision to tell him. I am fine with it, do not worry my dear. But be careful to who you shall tell next, I am still trying to escape Tartarus, for us. I ensure you that I shall be with you within ten days,, she told me.

          "Ok Mama, I'll be waiting for you," I replied aloud.

          I love you, my little Kristina, with all my heart.

          "I love you too Mama," I whispered, tearing up. I knew that my mother would come back, but I knew it wasn't just for me. She wanted to get revenge at the seven who sent her to Tartarus. She wants to get back at everyone, including Nico. He escaped from Gaea one time three years ago, and he helped the seven defeat her.

          I love Mama so much, but what if I had to give her up to save the world? What if I had to give her up to save the rest of the world? Would I be able to do it? Would I give up the mother that I loved with all my heart to save thee rest of the world from being tortured?  I closed my eyes and started sobbing silently

          "What should I do?" I whispered.

          "Follow your heart," said a familiar voice behind me. I turned around to find Nico leaning against a tree, hands in his pockets. I smiled and signaled for him to come and sit. Nico sat down and pulled me into his lap. I wiped away the tears that kept coming.

          "What are you doing here alone?" he asked.

          "Just thinking," I replied softly.

          Nico wiped away the remaining tears. "Well, whatever you're thinking about, follow your heart. If you follow your heart, you're bound to go the right direction," advised Nico. I looked at him, worried.

          "And what if I make the wrong choice?" I asked. He looked at me and chuckled.

          "It's your choice, not mine. It is you making the choice, after all. I know that you'll go the right way in the end," he smiled, kissing my head. I hugged him tightly.

          "Thank you, Nico," I said into his shirt.

          "Anything for you," he replied, hugging me back. We hopped off Zues's Fist and, hand in hand, headed to our cabin. I was hoping to get a dreamless sleep. Of course, as always, I had a nightmare.
