Chapter 2: Nico

---Chapter 2---

Nico's POV

          I was making my way to the pavilion for lunch when Grover ran into me and our heads slammed. "Ouch," I groaned, rubbing my head. Wow, horns hurt more than I thought. Grover looked at Nico with a worried face as he chewed on his Camp Half-Blood shirt.

          "Harseemnercanannbeth?" mumbled Grover with his mouth full of his shirt.

          "What? Grover, I can't understand a word your saying," said Nico.

          Grover swallowed hard and said, "Have you seen Percy or Annabeth? I need their help with finding a new demi-god.She has a strong aura of power but I don't know who her godly parent is," said Grover.

          "I'll do it," I offered.

         Grover stared at Nico questionably. "Are you sure? She lives in Ohio, which is long way from here. Can you handle it?"

          "Yeah, I'm positive. Transportation isn't that hard for me. I could shadow-travel. I have nothing to do right now," I answered. Grover stared at Nico for a few seconds and nodded.

          "Here's the address. Her name is Kristina Jasmine Tlesco, but she goes by Jasmine. Good luck," said Grover as he trotted away.

           It's just one demi-god, I thought to myself. How hard can it be? To answer that, very hard.

          When I got to Ohio, finding Jasmine's house was easy, considering the fact that it was huge! the hard part was trying to get to the door. The house had security guards everywhere. Luckily, Nico was able to shadow-travel to the front door. Bad part, he landed right in front of a security guard.

          "Intruder alert! Intruder alert!" yelled the guard who was wearing a blue suit. Big-mouth tried to smack Nico in the head with a branch, but missed by an inch.

          My training kicked in. Dodge, slash, kick, side step. 

          A guard in a black suit growled, "Must be a demi-god. Plan C." The guards unsheathed their bronze swords. They charged at me, and one managed to get a cut on my arm. I felt the blood trickle down, but ignored it.

          "I need to take Jasmine to Camp Half-Blood. Lord of the Wild's orders," I said through my gritting teeth.

          "Oh, hadn't heard that one before," chuckled one of the guards. Another guard chuckled, "I haven't trained in years, but I still know a few tricks." With that, he unarmed Nico and knocked him out. 

----------------------Time Laps-----------------------

         I groaned. Man, my head hurts! I looked around and saw a beautiful girl with her brown hair in a braid and her kaleidoscope eyes looking down at me. Whoa, she's pretty, I thought to myself. She touched my arm and I flinched. "Ouch," I groaned.

          "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Robert, get a first-aid kit, now!" ordered the beautiful girl. A man who I suspected as Robert gave her the first-aid kit. She started cleaning my wound while I tried to keep still. "This might hurt," she told me as she got out a needle. I was staring at it, wide-eyed, ready to faint. She held my arm and started to sew while I tried to bare the pain. I was about to scream in pain until she finally said, "Done. Again, I'm so sorry about the guards. I'm Jasmine, by the way." Jasmine smiled and held out her hand. I gladly shook it.

          "Nico Di Angelo. Nice place you got," I said. Jasmine noticed that we were still holding hands and removed her's. "So, what brings you here?"

          "Oh, uh... Well, you know all those Greek myths and gods? Yeah, they're all-" Jasmine cut me off.

          "All real? Yeah , I know. My dad's a demigod of Apollo, his mom's a daughter of Athena, her dad's a son of Demeter, and so on. I'm related to all gods and goddesses except for, well, Hades," she said. I stared at Jasmine, too overwhelmed and speechless.

          "Well, we should get you to Camp. Your aura of power can attract dozens of monsters around here," I said as we headed to the door.
