Chapter 5: Jasmine

---Chapter 5---

Jasmine's Pov

          I sprinted to the woods. I didn't know where I was going, and I didn't care. Tears streamed down my face as I ran to a bunch of boulders. Wiping the tears away, I prompted myself on top.

          Mama, why'd you leave? Why can't you come back? I miss you... The tears kept coming. I closed my eyes and tried to stop, but the tears flowed like the River Stynx. Sweety, you know why I can't come back. I would if I could, but I lost the battle. Mama was talking to me again.

           "Mama, when will you come back," I said, still crying. My darling, Kristina, it may take a mullein for me to get back. I am truly sorry, sweety. Stay strong. "I'll do anything for you, Mama."

          I wept in silence. Suddenly, I heard a twig crack. I turned my head alarmingly, but found Nico staring at me with a worried look on his face.

          "You ok?" Nico asked.

          "Y-yeah," I lied.

          "What are you doing out here alone?" he asked, coming up to the boulders and sitting beside me.

          "Just thinking." He nodded, then looked at me again. Nico wiped away the tears that were still streaming down my face. I touched his hand that still rested on my face.

          "You don't have to cry. All godly parents don't exactly visit their children that often," said Nico, smiling, and removing his hand. I smiled back.

           "I know, but my mom visited a lot a-and-" I started tearing up again, but Nico stopped me.

           "Shh, it's ok. Everything will be fine. Don't cry." I smiled meekly. Here I am, crying in front of Nico. He'll think your such a wimp! I thought. Nico wrapped his arms around me and tried comforting me. "It's ok, everything will be alright," he said.

           "I hope," I said. Nico looked into my eyes and smiled. "There it is again. Your eyes are so beautiful."

           I smiled back. Nico looked into my eyes mesmerised. .Before I knew what he was doing, Nico leaned in and our lips met. He kissed me and I kissed him back, first softly then fiercely. Sparks flew, and I couldn't remember anything, my name, where I was, or what had happened before we kissed. I was entirely focused on Nico. I couldn't even feel my arms or legs. I felt numb all over.

           He pulled away with a smile on his face. Nico wrapped his arms around me as I rested my head on his chest. It's official, I can't tell anyone who Mama is. Not even Nico. Nobody can find out that my mom is Gaea.
