Earth Day

32 1 0

Screaming, running, drumming.
Battle cries are humming.
Hear my shouting voice in anger,
As I stare down the bald park ranger.
~*~
He scoffs and keeps on going.
Rowing, rowing, rowing.
His gun is locked and loaded,
Continuously boded.
~*~
Animals, birds, trees.
To be destroyed, oh please!
They are stronger yet than our entire race.
We will never rid them in our great haste.
~*~
Habitats, ecosystems, livelihoods.
We chop them up and sell them for goods.
Disgusting habits and reckless ways.
We'll kill them all in a matter of days.
~*~
We need to save the rest.
We have to do our best,
To help the lovely flora and fauna,
From plants and trees to newts and iguana.
~*~
We cannot destroy anymore.
That's not what our great Earth is for.
Nurture, care, and love.
That's the recipe for the sweet world above.
~*~
My work is here and done,
But you are not alone.
Recruit help and raise awareness,
For the horrible deeds we must put to rest.
