Chapter 7

Gabbie's pov-

I could see the look in his face. This place was pretty sketchy and graffiti filled the huge storage containers nearby. Alex stared at me from the driver's seat. "I dont think this is a good idea" he said looking around. There was alot of people around but it wasnt very difficult to find cayden throughout the crowd. "There's my friend" i said pointing to cayden. "Is that the one from the other day" i nodded to him surprised. He remembered. "Why cant you just make any friends that are girls" i shrugged and continued to stare out the window. Is it too late to back out now? Mt phone binged with a message from cayden. After a full hour yesterday cayden had managed to wrestle my phone out of my hands and get the last digit. I looked at the message.

C- are you gonna come or sit in the car all day ;)

I stared at the phone and rolled my eyes. "Ill see you later" i said grabbing my skateboard before he could object. "But-" i slammed the car door and ran towards cayden. He saw me walking towards him and opened his arms for a hug. I put my skateboard down and rode around him and down the ramp. He was shocked i actually went around. I giggled and went down and up the ramp a few times before coming to a stop. Cayden smirked and went down the ramp. He did a trick in midair and i shook my head as he bowed and motioned to the ramp for me. I walked around him and repeated his trick. "Pretty good" he said rubbing his chin and walking over to a nearby rail. He ran and jumped it. His landing was a little sloppy but either way he landed. I repeated his trick again and he crossed his arms. His eyes narrowed and he was about to go but i stopped him. "Can you do this?" i asked going down a larger ramp at full speed. I did 3 turns midair and had an impressive landing if i do say so myself. His mouth dropped and he repeated my steps almost the landing again. We did this for a while until it became dark but cayden smiled at me as we waited for alex and his dad. "Not bad today" he nodded putting his hand out for a hive five. I smiled and gave him one "neither were you i suppose" he looked at me and i began laughing. "Today was fun"he said smiling at me. "It was" i said as I stood up. Alex parked in front of me and i waved to cayden. "ill see you later" i said tucking my hair behind my ear and trying to hide a smile. He nodded awkwardly and waved. I got in the car and tried to ignore alex's curious looks and questions. I managed to dodge them all as we got home. When we pulled up i got out of the car and went into the house. I ran upstairs to my room and changed into some shorts and a tanktop. It was 10:00 so i layed down in bed and scrolled through twitter. It was boring until

A new notification

Popped up on my screen. I laughed at the name and clicked his profile just as a message popped up on my phone.

C- nice profile picture;)

I blushed and looked at my profile picture. It was from last year. I had tons of makeup on and my hair was curled perfectly. I thought about what to text back.

G- thanks. But stalker much?

I laughed. I have noone from this school on my twitter yet. So he would have had to search for it

C- maybe. Night skatergirl

I smiled in approval at the nickname and put my phone on the charger. Today was a really good day, maybe im actually making a friend or an acquaintance.
